Is so difficult to understand? I don't keep up with this daily, is anything happening to the heavy class come Uprising?
Why can a laser melt away 812 armor in literally one damn second? What's the point of skilling into heavy at all when a weapon like that can destroy almost 1000 HP before a baseball can hit the ground when dropped from head height? |

You will probably get several QQ moar or HTFU comments for this thread, but I have to agree the LR is slightly OP. I'm pretty sure they said they were going to tweak the Viziam, not sure about the other two though. Plus there is some kind of error with the damage mods, which has been debated for a while now, that should be all sorted by Uprising release. |

I'm hoping the LR fix in Uprising brings the LR more in line with other weapons, it's strengths faaaaaaaaaar outweigh its weaknesses. |

LMAO, stop sticking your neck out where it is readily available for chopping off, heavies need to stick to cover to be effective, I love how people seem to think heavy armor should make them invincible. Get good or stop crying noobie

There's this lovely thing called a "Viziam" which has much higher damage than the other Laser Rifles.
CCP have used the word "mistake" in relation to this fact, and informed us quite some time ago that it's not going to be keeping that excessive damage in future builds.
Now you only need to worry about the people with stacked damage mods, most of whom can kill you just as fast with ARs. |

As a die hard laser user, with access to all the assault rifles, the funny thing is, you can still usually kill things faster with duvolle. If you're clumped up sure I might be to whack 2-3 guys with a little luck pushing hard on my over heat that'll probably blow up in my face, but duvolle? That sucker is guaranteed multiple kills a clip with some trigger discipline.
Assuming you dont do something silly like trot out in the open trying to run halfway across the map to meet me, a heavy getting a flank in close range pretty much makes for a dead laser, hell another duvolle in close range is seriously bad news for the laser rifle. Not even considering shotgun issues.
Maxed range lasers are meant as a form of counter vs a heavy, we shoot farther and you don't have the option of moving around to mess with our aim. Its just a fact of life. Get close, get kills, use cover, have some one pin us down because we're usually running a glass cannon set up.
