They fixed the obs in one day but the laser has been broken well since I started playing so like two months sup wit that?

The devs have directly stated the damage is incorrect on the Viziam and will be fixed next build.
Not sure why people are still arguing otherwise. |

Part of the issue is likely what can be accomplished server side and what needs to be taken care of with a client update. I get the feeling that OBs are handled by the server, while laser damage is probably stored on the client. CCP controls Tranquility, so it's easy for them to get in and monkey with it without anybody getting in their way. However, when they update the clients they have to distribute that to all the players, which has to get handled by Sony's QA department before it even hits your console. |

Lasers are a minor problem really, and can wait, a trick to duplicate OBs has to be worked on straight away. |

OBs were an exploit, you could TK with a grenade to get under 2500 WP, go back over, and have another OB. Or, at least, that's what I gather. So, by going back under the limit, you could hit the limit again really quickly.
However, laser rifles don't use such an exploit. They may have a number wrong, sure, but there's nothing wrong with their basic mechanics. You can't break the overheat limit, for example.
Which explains the urgency to fix it. |

I read it was from a IRC channel where a dev basically said the Viziam is 5 base damage too high. |
