Would it be smarter to delete my game before I start downloading the patch? (and just download it all from the market?) or is there a reason why I shouldn't? Would the version I get from psn be the updated version? or would I download the old game then have to update it via patching? The reason I would consider doing this is to try and avoid corruption/file issues that normally happen with massive updates like the one coming up. Any opinions? I know the internet loves its opinions..... |

There is a tradeoff. If you patch from current, there is less you will need to DL, but of course its a big patch so might be a lot anyways.
On the other hand, a fresh install could be the way to go if you always have corruption issues. I never have. |

Given the size of the changes I would opt for delete and re-install for sure, that's what I will be doing. You will not loose any of your stuff, just the settings.

As someone who had corrupted file issues every time. I can tell you that even if you erase the full client unless they update the core download file. You will still have to re download it, then download the patch. That is of course if they don't recreate the core download, which they have not done as of last build.
However I had to replace my hard drive the last update cause it would not download no matter what I did, even a complete format didn't help. |
