Face it, this game is not newbie friendly at all. I've got people to play, they get utterly wrecked, then go off and tell all their friends about how **** this game is.
I suggest a Militia Gear only mode for new players to fight on even footing and get a feel for what to do lower chance of getting completely devastated by upper tier players with decked out Proto fits.
There would be less pay out for this mode, SP and ISK wise. |

It is a mix of both, pure skill can only get you so far, for instance, A skilled AV person from BF3 who is slightly familiar with AV in this game would be hard pressed do deal with an halfway decent Maddie tank, especially if he is fresh to the game and barely has AV to start with. |

Actually, I would have figured, not only just "militia gear only" but really a combat simulator VR testing room of sorts where everybody has no skill bonuses, pre-defined starter fittings that allow you to experiment with the basic versions of all weaponry, and some pre-defined militia vehicles of different types that can be called in. "Simple combat" mode, or something like that.
But yeah, basically the same concept, with less SP/ISK payouts, or none at all. |
