LAVS need a buff I recommend making the LAV a 4 seat heavy armored vehicle instead of having a gunner on the back the passenger next to the driver seat would control a gun on top of the vehicle via remote. LAV would have tops and sides to protect the driver from incoming AV weapons. If not redesigning the LAV then make this another kind of fast light ground vehicle. LAVS are pointless and the gunners get shot down to fast they need some form of protection.
sorta like this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/Saudi_Arabian_Humvee.jpg but the passenger next to the driver seat controls the gun. Style of the humvee would of course be more dust and faction style. |

You could kill that guy just as easy as now, and the people in that vehicle would be killed by a .22 through the doors and windows. |

Thats why lav needs buff and make no windows in the lav just a front window of camera so you can see. There to fragile right now. |

So you want the LAV to be a HAV. |

But it would still be awesome if we had something to protect us from getting shot out. |

For all you know, the windows could be made of an advanced futuristic membrane. Either way, it still offers more protection than a standard LAV.

no not a hav a buff to the lav with a redesign for safer movement around the battle field and an additional two passenger seats in the back. A removal of the gunner seat and let the passenger control the gun with a remote/computer built into the lav dashboard. |

I think LAVs need a true buff. No need to change anything on them...
...they should add a bulletproof shield to the front of the turret. Open above the gun but still provides a modicum of protection from frontal fire. As it is right now, I can literally stare down a LAV from the front (assuming it isn't hauling ass to run me down) and gun down a turret gunner before he can gun me down. The turrets are hilariously underpowered unless you have the most advanced ones. An Exile AR shouldn't be stronger than a militia 20GJ Blaster...they are in the same tier for goodness sakes and one is a MOUNTED TURRET.
I picked two gunners out of a DS yesterday before the third finally got a bead on me and took me out and I could have easily stepped back and hid.
All vehicle types need a massive buff. AV grenades need to be explode on contact but NOT seeking. Buff the other AV stuff just slightly. Make some goon with two packed AV grenades less of a threat to every vehicle on the road.
My dream vehicle situation is an artillery vehicle that is ultra long range firing mortar style rockets using a pop up map requiring infantry to laser tag targets in order to acquire them. Slow and generally vulnerable to AV guys and good LAV guys, but dynamite against HAVs. Then they could make HAVs something to seriously fear. |

LAVs are light assault vehicles. They are by nature, fragile and poorly armored. They are for harrassing motions and moving speedily from point A to point B.
What you want poster, is not light. You want an APC. That would likely be an MAV. |

Yeah this is a "Buff" in the wrong direction kiddo. A buff would be removal of free LAVs followed by a soft nerf on AV. AND I MEAN SOFT. |

I'm not a kiddo and I feel you are jumping to conclusions. Hows does a lav effect av being nerfed makes no since to me. |
