I currently run several copies with little tweaks of equipment. My logi suit has the same high's and lows, but i have variants with different weapons (Tactical Rifles, CQB AR's, shotguns, swarms, etc) and a couple of changes in equipment (usually always Hives/needles, with mines, uplinks, etc changing as I need them)
What I'd like to be able to do is tie these similar fits together, so I can make changes that effect all the suits, like, if I level up my shield enhancements and put a new extender in, rather than have to edit several classes by hand, being able to save changes across all linked fits would be great. A smarter restocking feature would be nice too, but it might warrant another thread altogether, but it would great if it would restock common elements before filling up an exclusives ones. Or being able to only restock common elements (which are the most used ones) |

Didn't read the post, but Linked Fittings... Auto +1
[Edit]: Read the post, I thought you meant Linking Fittings, like in Chat. That sounded great. Linked fittings sounds lazy. Sorry, there are ALOT of small nuances that go into fitting and having the "system" auto calculate and change fittings just sounds like you are going to end up with a pile of Invalid fittings at the end of the day. |

I wasn't thinking it would do a lot of changes other than changes you specifically commit. Maybe a specific editor that allows you to ply out specific changes, but ranking up my shield tech and having to edit four slots on each fitting when you've got six fittings that need to be changed sucks. Especially given the relative slowness of the fitting editor. |

There are alot of UI enchancements coming, I am sure it will get smoother. However there is so much you can do with a fitting that it just needs to take the time. its similar to EVE, you make a ship fit and then you can quickly swap between your fits, but the making of each fit takes awhile. At least in this game we don't have to travel 50 jumps to shop and then come back only to die and have to fly back 50 jumps because you forgot to buy 2 of something you needed. |
