One of my senior members;- Aka Swava has a very interesting suggestion that I like and approve too. As most of Red Star members couldnt give a **** about the forums, I am posting this on behalf of him.
In Eve we have plexing and rat running. Over here you have different levels. For example in FW plexing in a novice area lets you take in only frigates. The small area lets you take in frigates or destroyers. The medium level lets you take frigates, destoyers and cruisers. In the large level;- anything goes.
Now all levels help you generate ISK and LPs which in turn helps you get bigger and better stuff. You might get some good salvage too. I got almost 400 million ISK in salvage last night which even by Eve terms is a decent amount for a day.
Here is how it can work with dust;- We can have Dust raids that dusters can conduct against each other or NPCs.
Level 1: Militia gear ony. BPCs or BPOs. Level 2: Militia gear and Standard gear Level 3: Militis gear, standard gear and advanced gear Level 4: Anything goes
Now the isk rewards and salvage will be based on the level of gameplay. Obviously level 4 gets you the best stuff. Maybe level 1 gives you standard gear, level 2 gives you advanced gear, level 3 gives you proto gear and level 4 gives you officer gear. The difficulty obviously increases with each level.
The greater the risk;- the greater the reward!
Having this tier based system both for NPC gaming and PVP would help the newbies learn faster and fund them better for when **** hits the fan. This mechanic would also allow for freedom of squads to move about so that they dont get too bored with pub stomping and lame corp battles.

In principle, I agree with you.
I'm having a little trouble parsing the whole post, but I think you have the germ of a good idea.
It would be nice to see a combination of PVE and PVP missions that are not just about control of territory but about some objective (rescue The Damsel, blow up a factory, etc.). |

Think plexing would be the best option for this. PvE plexes could include going to raid Guristas/Sansha/Angel space, fighting in a space station or a large ship, and getting to a console to download information/sabotage/rescue a prisoner etc.
Alternatively, as is coming, can fight off rogue drones, and could also do an incursion-style invasion that links to incursions. Any system that has an incursion in, lands ground troops too, and bunnies have to fight them off.
Missions... Could be "defend this small village from native fauna" or something. Level 1 missions, that is. |

I don't know about this, I still really want to see PvP be a money source, not a money drain. Militia gear is so cheap that farming it seems like a bad way to go, unless the rewards are like 50-100 stacks of the item. I can see starting the farm at Standard and then the next level Advanced with a small chance for Faction, Pirate, Prototype etc. etc.
I think it would be interesting in having a prototype only version, but only with and against players. You kill them, you get their suit. So risk/reward, its a suit battle. |
