Is this true? If so, how do you plan to mitigate the tsunami of fury from your player base? http://themittani.com/news/dust-514-new-skills-may-hurt-current-players |

Looks like the wrong direction to take speculation to me. |

Oh, I'm really hoping someone from ccp will show up and tell me that this isn't true, and that they aren't doing something this horrible to their beta testers. |

What evidence is there to support the suggestion that heavy armor will require light armor? |

We are being reimbursed anyway, I believe. We get to reallocate all our SP that we've currently accumulated once Uprising hits. Furthermore, the requirement for "quadrupling the amount of skills in Dust 514 without grandfathering in players that have already been playing" is probably wise; many are complaining that the new players or old ones returning in hope the new build will make DUST worthy of their time will be instantly turned off again by everyone else having more SP, better gear, and essentially a huge advantage over them.
The skill system will undergo a fundamental change, and even with all the little snippets of information we can gain right now, we will still have to relearn it, so to speak. This slows down our headstart, forces us to take a few steps back, allowing new players to join on a playing field as even as possible.
And pubstomping still won't disappear. Mark my words. I feel that everyone is anticipating new content too much to cause a 'tsunami of fury'. |
