Nope. It's only affected by sidearm skills/mods at present. |

Are you sure about that? Unless they changed it in the past few days, I'm pretty sure Nova Knives are affected by melee skills and weaponry skills.
That's why the Scout B-Series pwns face with it. |

Nova Knives have been unaffected by melee since at least the start of the closed beta. Checked with Nova Knife in IRC who confirmed my suspicion that the last time the knives were affected by melee was when they were everyone's default melee.
Edit: Scout B Series pwns face even if you're holding a nanite injector. |

OK, so just to be sure, I did some rough testing.
Fitting: T1 scout, 1x complex shield extender, 2x nova knives (one in lw slot and one in low. I only used the one in lw slot) Second: T1 scout, 1x complex shield extender, 2x nova knives, 2x 1.5dn Myofibril Stimulant
Here's what I got vs. an enemy Supply Depot:
No stim, no skills, 1 nova knife, t1 scout: 2150 2175 2175 2150 2150
Two stim, no skills, 1 nova knife, t1 scout: 2175 2175 2150 2150 2150
So confirmed, stims do not change nova knife charge damage.
It looks like the first tier of nova knife deals 350 damage to a supply depot. It strikes twice, each strike deals 175 points of damage. I have level 5 Weaponry and lvl 0 Hand to Hand Combat.
Level 0 Sidearm Weapon Upgrade: (reduces CPU usage of sidearms by 5%) 69/143 CPU
Lvl 1 Sidearm Weapon Upgrade: 67/143 CPU
Does nova know if sharpshooter changes nova knife charge range? O_O |

nova knives are pretty usless now because in dust most fighting will be at range.
since you need nova knives to be point blank range it is usless at the moment unless there is a cloaking feature.
until the uprising patch nova knives will stay usless. |

I couldn't melee anyone with the knife and accurately record the damage done (instead of charge).

Can we test direct AV nade damage the same way?
Let me rephrase that: Can someone please test direct AV nade damage this way?

I actually want to do some more testing on passive shield resisters, I got some weird results and it would take more than one person to finish it.
So I'm down for testing that in a corp battle or something later tonight ^.^ |
