I was reading this little sci fi short when I was bored, and in it, the pilots tied a lot of garbage to their spaceships so enemy scanners wouldn't detect it as a ship for a while.
What if Dust vehicles had a similar thing?
Whether it's a rig or module, it would alter the body of your vehicle to form random chaos appearance.
The effect would be that scanners have a delayed effect on the vehicle. They can't rightly process the vehicle at first, but after a while, they will pick it up.
So basically you are invisible to radar for X amount of time (a lot of variables could effect that), but then scanners will expose you if you are in range, given enough time. |

maybe it would change the signature so it looks like an infantry unit or different kind of vehicle. Wouldn't work for DS though because nothing else flies. |

In addition to Advanced Swarm Launchers the average Blue will reduce a LAV to trash in a simple drive across a map. |

Getting back on topic those rebels on the Millennium Falcon once out foxed the Imperial Navy by pretending to be some of the trash they dump before warp, although Boba Fett didn't fall for it.
Physical camouflage has a history already on vehicles going back nearly a hundred years. It's worked for infantry longer, the ghillie suit being one outstanding example. So I can dig trash cammo for the gloomy and ****** universe of New Eden. |

That will never work. Our scanners in EVE are designed to pick up blobs of what appears to be garbage as Minmatar ships. You should know this by now. |

What's the difference between an immobile Minmatar ship and a pile of garbage?

But on the ground, the minmatar vehicles will look like rusty tractors from the 50's. So attaching garbage to them would make them look like rusty tractors from the 30's. There's a difference. |
