Lets face it, most of the frustration vets have with this game is that, many times, its not about who has the better squad but who has the worst blueberries. You can run around, kill, and cap objectives all you want but unless the bluetards can actually hold them, it just becomes a large game of whack-a-mole.
I firmly believe that there should be a 'kiddie pool' section for newberries below a certain SP level. This is how it would work.
- This section would only be for players that are below a certain defined SP level. Anyone above it would not be able to see or access it. - Newberries would be able to go into the vet section as they wish if they feel that they are beyond what the kiddie pool can offer. - This section would focus specifically on learning how to play the game such as capping objectives and the flow of the game.
What this section would accomplish. - It gives newberries a fighting chance since it will group them all together. Everyone will be around the same level of play and they wont have to worry about being pub-stomped by a squad of proto-suits who they have very little chance against - It gives vets an idea that most of the people that are going to squad up with them are going to be people who know what they are doing. Skill level will be more of a determining factor than knowing what to do.
And the big reason for this? CCP can stop focusing on making the vet section fair for the masses by catering to the lowest common denominator. I would be far more interested/enthusiastic about playing matches if I didnt think that 90% of them would be a redline scenario and I would have a fight for the entire match. |

So if guys have a certain amount of SP than they can red line snipe against the vets? Cmon man too easy to exploit around.
Not sure where you are going with this. What Im saying is that they would be in separate matches entirely. Besides, you would still have vet redline snipers either way.. SP does not make someone less of a kitten.
Judy - IF PVE is that section then so be it. I just think that grouping FOB blueberries with vets is killing this game as far as interest goes.

Either way, we need something to train them up before getting thrown into the deep end.
One of the few things that I think COD did right is that they have a section for beginners where they can group up and go against bots.
Its not fair to them that they are at an extreme disadvantage when first starting the game and its not fair to the vets that they cant enjoy 90% of their games because it turns into a redline 20% of the way through. |
