OK if you did not understand the subject Then read the entire thing because this important
EXAMPLE: I have two fitting one a heavy with a HMG the other is an assault dropsuit with an assault rifle Both have basic shield extender The problem is when i die in one of these fittings the other one i lose basic shield extender both fittings
I want to ability to lock a number of a specific item to one fitting EXAMPLE TO THE SOLUTION: I buy 14 basic shield extenders from the market I lock 7 of them to one fit then 7 to another fit then when i restock to a specific fit i restock to basic shield extender only in this fitting
PLEASE PEOPLE TELL THE DEVS TO LOOK AT THIS I REALLY LOVE THIS GAME AND THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM |

Its not a problem at all, its a feature.
Stop being cheap and just restock everything or, hit edit go into the fit and restock 2x the item you need. |

Alternate solution to this problem: pay attention to what gear you're using. |

I don't really see this as a problem, just buy twice as much of the shield extender or whatever the module is. It really comes down to a matter of preference. The downside is that I would have to restock a depleted module on for every single fitting instead of just restocking it in one fitting and it effecting all the fittings with the module. Plus instead of just buying the module to make the fittings valid again, you would also have to take the extra time to distribute the modules thoughout your fitting; it would be pretty tedious. |

Just give us the old restock to a number back as an option, easy done ... X to restock 10 fittings or 'square' to restock to 10 fittings total. |

Simple enough, +1 to you. Though it sounds like it wasn't originally your idea.
[Edit]: I would give you a plus one but my pluser is broke. So... I'll give you a rabbit.

I vote no.
Just keep yourself well stocked. I buy my most commonly used gear in stacks of 100 simply so I don't have to think about this. We don't need to waste ccp's time with adding pointless features.
Besides, having to allocate every item you buy to a specific fitting would just be another pointless/stupid step. |

No one was calling your idea stupid... They simply presented viewpoints why they prefer things to work as is.
I see what you're saying. Basically, asking for the option to allow a fitting to permanently reserve an amount of a module that it may share with another. I like the idea, actually.
If I have 10 modules of X reserved for suit A, then suit B will use modules of X without touching suit A's reserves. Makes sense to me. +1
What would be a REALLY good idea though, is being able to replenish all replenishable modules on a fitting that has an unreplenishable item.
Example: Say, I have a fitting carrying an officer's weapon, but I happened to run out of locus grenades on that fitting mid-match. The game will not allow me to do a fast mid-match Restock, BECAUSE the officer weapon is on my fitting. It's a waste of time to go into the fitting menu, to go to Edit, to restock on grenades DURING a match.
I would rather the game determine that items not found on the Market be bypassed automatically during a Restock order. Basically, use some common sense. I KNOW you're not going to find a Balac's on the Market, so just ignore that and restock everything else, please.
The game is already coded not to purchase BPOs redundantly. Working something like this into place shouldn't be a major coding job. |
