How many of you feel that your abilities as a gamer determine if you will do well in a Dust match? |

I find my performance correlates directly and proportionately to the amount of bacon consumed before the match. |

Team > Skill > Gear .
I swear, it feels like I get the worst teams sometimes. |

Oh. I see. I thought we were supposed to avoid baconing, like in that tee-shirt commercial. |

That is a pointless question...Asking whether a persons ability to play a video game will affect their performance whilst playing said video game???
Of course it will, new players have to grasp the basics and what not of course, but someone who has played competitive FPS for a decent length of time will in all likelihood be better (at first) than someone who has only played FIFA for the last few years.
It is all down to what type of games you play most, as well as your reaction time.
A little creativity doesn't hurt, either :). |

Two very different points to be made here.
In a strategy based FPS game: Intelligence > Skill Team Skill > Individual Skill A Toddler w/ a DS3 > Average Blueberry |

WWell, its not that bad a question actually. In WoW if you are wearing all epic super purples then even if you suck you will probably still ROFLstomp a guy who is naked or wearing greens. As this game is a MMO, it does make sense to ask the gear question. |

The word "Skill" is too vague,it's a buzzword to me at this point. Battle intelligent has more weight to me as does teamwork. However in dust these are secondary to your gear:/ |

With characters in the 1 - 3 million SP range, with nothing up to Prototype level, running Militia gear, I can frequently outplay people in Prototype gear.
But as several others have mentioned, teamwork is a more important skill than the specific individual skills that are rewarded in most games. |
