The wording is 5% bonus to assault rifle dispersion and kick bonus per level. Bonus = premium or addition Does this mean that for every level you get a 5% increase in dispersion and kick?
Or does it mean 5% bonus reduction in assault rifle dispersion and kick bonus per level? Does anyone know or can link me to a top where a Dev mentions it? |

It's supposed to mean reduction. For a long time it only said that it reduced kick, but it did not reduce kick, it reduced dispersion.
Now it says it reduces dispersion too. I'm not sure if they fixed it so it reduces kick. But either way you're not getting penalized by putting points into that skill. |

I think it's both, but it's hard to be certain. I seem to notice a difference between this character and my unskilled alt, but that could be my imagination. Also, proficiency is the skill that increases damage iirc. This is operation. |

Assault Rifle Operation <- This reduces dispersion and kick. Though I dont see any difference in 'kick' with this maxed out. Though the difference bay be in the time it takes before the kick becomes noticeable and not the overall kick.
Assault Rifle Proficiency <- This increases base damage by 3%

Either way, you have to max out Assault Rifle Operation to access Assault Rifle Proficiency. Sometimes you got to level up skills that you don't understand or "need" for a build in order to open up skills you do want. |

Thank god they are getting rid of that in the next build. |

You will still need to upgrade some skills you don't want for other skills you do. They are getting rid of needing two or three skills from a different part of tree. Skill trees get very confusing once branches start merging back together all over.
So things like maraders skill needing powergrid upgrades lv 4 will be gone, it will need a prereq still, but it will be something more intuitive like turret upgrade lv5 and only one skill not multiple.
So, ar proficency will probably still need ar operation first. |
