Let's replace the current droll Prototype dropsuits with Strategic dropsuits, modeled after Tech 3 Strategic Cruisers in EVE! C'mon, you know you want modular dropsuits.
Torso Subsystems Augmented Plating / Supplemental Screening | +20% Armor / Shield Hitpoints
Nanobot Injector / Amplification Node | +10% Armor Repair Speed
Chassis Optimization | +10% Velocity, -5% Scan Precision
Nanofiber Holstering | +1 Sidearm, -33% Weapon Switch Duration
Head Subsystems Dissolution Sequencer | -20% Scan Precision
Obfuscation Manifold | -20% Scan Profile
Scope Extension Processor | +25% Scope Magnification
Viral Injection Sequencer | -33% Hacking Duration
Facial Cushioning | Allows you to use the facepalm taunt. Constantly.
Arm Subsystems Quickdraw Servos | -40% Sidearm Reload Time, -20% Light Weapon Reload Time
Localized Coolant Injectors | -25% Handheld Weapon Heat Production
Heavy Weapon Configuration | -1 Light Weapon, +1 Heavy Weapon
Steadfast Augmentation | -33% Scope Sway, -15% Recoil
Slap-O-Matic 2000 | Turns your melee attack into a bitchslap.
Leg Subsystems[list] Booster Storage | +25% Combat Booster Effectiveness
Covert Reconfiguration | -10% Scan Precision, +50% Cloak Stability

Integrated Dance Synchronization | Makes you do Michael Jackson dances while sprinting.
If you haven't been able to tell, the fifth bullet of every list is a legitimate, completely serious suggestion.
Prototype needs to be more unique. Right now, it's just an improved version of Standard. Nothing special, just better stats (mostly for the dropsuits, prototype weapons aren't really hot stuff). It is infuriating. |

Current suits are T1. Then they will work on T2. Then T3. |

I mostly just meant I wanted to see racial suits for each class finished, not just mim this 1 suit and gall this 1 suit. I know thats mostly coming in the may patch though. |

Not so! Officer gear is not tech two, but its meta levels are frequently through the damn roof. |

Meta doesn't mean the same thing in this game as it does EvE. In this game Meta just means how much Bacon is required to power it.
In EvE, Meta is a huge turnaround, in this game, not a whole lote actually. I think they will probably rebalance all the meta levels eventually. |

Yes, they are still tech 1 mods. Anything that is not specifically Meta 5 in EVE is tech-1.
An officer or faction turret/launcher can not use specialized T2 ammo. Therefore, it is T1.
I also think bringing the T1/T2/T3 mechanic to DUST would do nothing for the game. Dropsuits are not Starships, they should not be treated as such. |

I really do like your idea, and the way you gave an example of how it would work. Though, as many of the other people have said, we still need to see how our t1 counterparts turn out with this coming build on May 6th.

Personally, I am of the opinion that eventually, all Prototype gear should be "Strategic". All of it. Guns, Mods, Grenades, Dropsuits, Vehicles all of it. I'm not saying that all of them should have 5 Subsystems like the Strategic Cruisers in Eve, though all of them should follow the same modularity of design.
Give us basic parameters, let us sort the details of specific Prototype items by way of Subsystems. |

+1 if you re work the numbers and make sure you can fit say a t3 as a scout suit just as much as heavy. |

So lets not think on lines of tech 2 and all that but the things CCP has given us
Militia Standard Advanced Prototype Officer Strategic
Strategic will probably be the best if you fit the right subsystems and skills to it or else it's just a waste it can fitted different but subsystems cost a hell of a lot. |
