Just a quickie. There are lot of skills to reduce CPU usage of modules and weapons. So much so that I now save lots of CPU but I run out of PG. I've only skilled up to B series assault so proto will give me a little bit more but I wanna try squeeze as much out of my type 2 and B series to save a few pennies.
So I'm wondering if any skills that would reduce PG (on dropsuits) usage are being brought in for the next update or at least being thought about for the future. |

You know, I've thought about this, and I've come to the conclusion that it is a specific choice by CCP. The PG shortage is how suits will differentiate each other in the same class. For example, one suit could have all top tier shield extenders, while another could have lesser shields but much better armor reppers. It keeps users from having top tier everything, which forces choices, choices that come down to personal preference. It also makes the proto suits more valuable, because they can fit more top tier gear. |

There is a skill, armor upgrades, reduces the powergrid cost of armor plates. Probably not much help as most suits people use are shield tanked. |

Yeah I don't use armour plates so that skill isn't useful to me.
I think the other guy hit the nail on the head to a certain degree. It does seem to be the final say on what a suit can be fitted with.
It just seems pointless to have skills that reduce CPU usage left right and center when you can't fully utilise the saving due to PG limitations :/

This is not a flaw but a concious design choice.
Its pretty much the same in eve. Cpu is easy to get but pg is hard. The difference in eve is that you have more slots to boost your pg.
But the cpu reqs are almost always higher than the pg (armor is one of the few exceptions) it stops people from just spamming plates and having insane amounts of armor. Again in eve there are more concerns than ermahgurd go fast avoid bullets. But in dust its one of the best ways to avoid death .. |

I agree thats its a good wqy to differentiate suit purposes but then there needs to be a x4 skill unlocked by mobility that reduces pg use of biotics by a few percent per level. Putting on catalizers maxes out most suits pg by them selfs. I mean you can put on a good tank and weapon or damage and weapon or eamage and tank but if you go speed thats all you can do and its only sprint speed the least useful of the speeds.
That or reduce the power need of the catalzers given how baddly theyve nerfed then |
