Some people will say this is a flaming threadits not, its a fact...
We as Closed Beta remember the higher Hp suits as they went up in Tier, but we let the F2p no skill QQ's win the argument and CCP dropped the nerf hammer on Advanced and Proto suits.....
So are you happy now?That herds of bpo's/ can take you down by combing there MLT Ar's at you?Are you happy that the nooberries recognize your name and seek you out 6 at a time?Did CCP lower the cost of the VK0/VK1 suits?(answer : no)
Does CCP now offer the VKO for AUR?(answer : yes)
Was it better back then?(answer :yes.It had more HP)
So are you getting jewed in that transaction?
Are the no skills and QQ babies winning the fight as far as complaining in the forums about Proto level gear being OP?(answer : yes)
When ever you see complaining about Proto anything I implore all players of skill (and Closed-Beta Testers) to say something regarding the fact that your 7 million xp earned you to the right to play with that equipment.That it should be better....That it cost 10 times more than there fit.One last question..Will you help me to tell these people that you dont want your hard work cheapened?That if they just try theyll get there to and then the tables will be even?Then it will boil down to skill... |

Rant thread. Not sure if troll. I'll bite.
You say that you've "earned the right" to play in better gear. It doesn't earn you an instawin suit, weapons or modules. In the end, newberries should be able to take out a proto, but the proto should have all the advantages in a full out firefight. Yes, it should boil down to skill, as this IS an FPS. You can't expect to walk around in a proto suit absorbing damage from newberries like they're mosquitoes. |

Thats funny that you say players with no skill.Ill work under the assumption that the first people to earn enough Sp to wear Proto gear are the people that have been kicking everyone's ass since the beginning of the build when we were all wearing Starter fits>so your argument as to "who" has more "skill" and who earns the most wp to get the Sp and then wear it.....is moot. |

Wrong. My main char only has about 1.2mil SP. GEK, complex shield mods, and the raven assault BPO. I don't even have complex damage mods. I can hold my own against most people. Hell, even if I jump into my militia fit, I can kill people using GEKs.
Admittedly I die quite a lot to people using Duvolles, but most of the time that's due to me being stupid and lone-wolfing it, as I don't quite have the time atm to join a corp. |

The people who complained are usually the ones who suck and want the game to be noob friendly like CoD. When I first played the game I loved getting wrecked by proto suits, it gave me something to aim for and made me play smarter. There is no real reason to upgrade apart from "ooo look what I have". I'm aware some people will come in and say "oh but you have extra slots etc". Not a big deal breaker imo when I can just do fine with a type II, the extra ISK cost and SP cost is not worth it. Militia gear should only be able to kill proto gear if the person using it plays smart, people hould want to get out of militia gear asap and get the next tier and so on. However when militia gear can do just as good as proto (to a certain extent) people will often feel the need not to upgrade in a hurry. Last but not least will the EVE ships be getting flattened? |

I run a sever logi 99.999999% of the time. I have about 4 M SP maybe 5 but I am at work and can't remember. Point is that I have only skilled in standard suits. Level one heavy and level one logi. I have no problem as long as I run with corp mates. I consistently place in the top ten and usually in the top 5. The only level 5s I have are in armor, LR and whatever skill it takes to get complex damage mods ( that I never use). Proto is crap now. Players need to focus on core skills and get away from the trap that is proto gear. |
