this is annoying cause i use snipers a lot and when i was in a match this guy was sniping from a hill i was shooting at him. it never hit but i was aiming directly at him but he killed me with a the sniper rifle i was using charged because for some reason it has a longer range. plus i spent loads of time just getting the top sniper  |

On occasion, the sniper rifle hit detection mucks up and you get shield flashes but no damage applied.
As a solution, I suggest using a weapon other than the sniper. |

Those shield flashes are 'glancing hits' that do no damage. Even if the dot changes colour, you can still get these glancing hits. I've seen it with other weapons too, but it's more obvious/painful with a sniper as you are firing fewer shots (whereas an AR doesn't care if a shot or two miss).
@OP: The different types of Sniper Rifles have different ranges, due to different ammunition types and such. No 'upgrade' version of a Sniper Rifle has less range than it's earlier counterpart, but Sniper Rifles, Tactical Sniper Rifles, and Charged Sniper Rifles are effectively different weapons. You can, of course, boost your range with the skill "Light Weapon Sharpshooter" which will help all of your range bands with Sniper Rifles. |

Yeah...
The blue shield means you are out of the range of the sniper, even thou you can hit them, the bullet has no energy to penetrate the shield, therefore causing it to glance as stated above.
Also, I think the Charge rifle has more power, not more RoF and the sniper rifle is not that ****** as the militia one.

I say no... because snipers are annoying.
and if i want to pull out my eon heavy and MLT snipers to embarrass them in front of their friends... |
