I am sure that this has been posted on the past, but I think CCP takes it very lightly or didn't notice it yet. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, the complex damage modifiers apply a stacking bonus instead of a penalty. For example, if I am to put 2 complex damage modifiers, my damage will get increased by 22% instead of 17% or if I put 3 I will get 33%, creating a huge unbalance and giving everyone a hard time. This also applies to tanks. Now if you haven't realized the problem and just think of it as a fun glitch, you are wrong. It's fun, believe me, but people often call certain weapons overpowered merely because of the glitch and they, as usual, complain. This could create unwanted nerfs and unbalances so what I'm asking you to do is help me get this noticed before it becomes a bigger problem. |

Wrong. Only the dropsuit display is wrong. Mods are stacking as should be.

All I see is players claiming they have tested it. There could be a chance that it's only a display glitch but I highly doubt it when a duvolle does 60 damage per shot. I could be wrong though but I think we should all have confirmation from a dev. |

Also even if he's wrong and there isn't a stacking penalty the difference is actually quite small when we're only talking about 2 or 3 damage mods. According to my math a Duvolle will do 51-52 damage with weaponry 5, proficiency 3 and 3 damage mods (with stacking penalty). Add 10% bonus damage to shields and it's close to 60 damage.
I can list the difference in stacking penalty and no stacking penalty (these numbers are listed in several other threads): With penalty: 1 mod - 10% 2 mods - 19,6% 3 mods - 26,4% 4 mods - 29,9%
Without penalty: 1 mod - 10% 2 mods - 21% 3 mods - 33,1% 4 mods - 46,4%
Also damage mods for vehicles were tested recently and I think they found out they were working as they should and that there were problems with some skills instead. |
