A maneuver I've performed many times is to use an LAV to put me directly behind a shield tank, drop 3 flux and try to finish off with a swarm. I've done this successfully so often that I get excited whenever I see a shield tank hit the map. Hell I've even suicided to come back in on that fitting.
This has not been working lately. I just got out of a game where me twice and a squad mate once rolled up on a shielded missile tank with <5000 shield and < 2000 armor. Twice I dropped flux On him. Tank either all the way or mostly in the bubble. Once from above and once from less than 20 meters behind. The tanks shields didn't drop more than a 1/8 on either occasion.
Once I can chalk up to stacking shield hardeners with all three active and me hit them in that 10 second window. But this has happened 5 times to me all with similar outcomes where shields do not drop as expected. Even with 3 15% resisters stacked or a combination of resisters and 30% hardeners that would only reduce damage near 50%. 3600 total shield damage to a tank that had about 4500 shield with 50% damage reduction should've still easily dropped his shields by a third.
So has something changed lately? Anyone else notice something similar this? |

Resistances shouldn't apply to fluxes. If they do... CCP should change that imo |

I've noticed a drop in Flux efficiency on a Gunlogi just today as well. The guy had gotten really cocky with driving through hack point Charlie on the Line Harvest map. He had been circling before never staying still too long but I think he got greedy. My fluxes didn't even remove a thrid of the shields.
He did die just on the other side with the crazy spamming of AV Grenades. My one Assault Forge shot got an assist.
Aside I think resistances should count against Flux Grenades. Then again resistances should also have a stacking penalty like in Eve. |

Maybe the Shield tankers managed to moan so much that Flux nades got nerfed against them which would suck, I went armour tank just so I dun get owned by non lethal grenade (I say non lethal I've killed a few heavies and assaults with flux grenades lol ) |

resistance applys to everything. On Eve you can aswell get EM resistance on shields. So why should this not work for Dust?

Nothing to add here other than I've see comments in 4 or five different threads recently that flux grenades feel like they've been changed somehow.
Also iirc, one of the threads was talking about reduced effect on infantry. If that's the case then whatever the cause is it's not specific to tanks. |
