CCP I find it funny how you make AV nades heatseeking nades that can make turns in mid air. They require no [player skill] to throw but magicaly they can find my tank. If they have on board enemy seeking computers please put an aimbot in my tank. More volume to implement an enemy searching module is available on my tank. |

I agree with the OP, AV nades shouldn't seek, but not because they take no player skill. They should then have a greater AOE |

I'll say the same thing I said last time this came up: the seek lock-on range should be a function of the vehicle's signature radius. It wouldn't really affect HAVs, but it's make things a lot less "OMG Insti-kill" for LAVs.
I don't really have that much of a problem with AV grenades versus HAVs. I've spent a lot of time behind the wheel of a Sica, and while they can be pretty devastating, they're also fairly avoidable. |

So instead of having AV nades not seek you want to replace it with an AOE increase so if they are close enough they will go off?
Thats replacing 1 crutch with another crutch
AV nades should go off when they hit the vehicle |

They seek because vehicles move away and kill infantry too fast for regular hurl-and-hope grenades to be viable, regardless of skill. |

Maybe the AV grenades are magnetic and thats how they seek. |

AV Grenades aren't "guided" in the sense of having any kind of intelligent system guiding them. They might have FoF sensors that identify blues and prevent the "guidance" system from triggering against anything but a red-dot, but that's it. The system is basic magnetism.
1. Electromagnet with minimal power causes enough of a pull towards a nearby object to indicate the presence of a vehicle. 2. FoF system doesn't confirm as a friendly. 3. More power is directed into the magnet. 4. Technically, the magnet pulls the tank towards itself, but given the relative mass of the tank compared with the grenad containing the electromagnet, the result is the opposite appearing to happen, with the grenade being pulled towards the tank.
It's not heat-seaking, and it's not a "smart" projectile of any kind.
That said, they should either NOT trigger the tracking function when a friendly tank is closer than the enemy, or they should track the friendly if it's closer to the grenade and there's an enemy in tracking range as well. Same should apply with either no tracking of enemy LAVs while a friendly HAV is anywhere in the tracking radius, even if the LAV is closer, or the grenade should aim for the larger magnetic field, which means the grenade would be more strongly drawn to the HAV than the LAV, even though it's a friendly. |

If that is the case then why dot they stick to the hand that throws them. |

I dont know, maybe dropsuits are more of a polymer or carbon fiber and dont have enough metal to attract them. I have seen LAV's drive right over my AV grenades lately. If they are moving at any decent speed they dont take damage from the explosion. |

Who would ever think homing impact grenades are OP? Especially when people can blindly throw 3 in a row at any LAV and destroy it. |
