As stated does Long Range Scanning and Profile Analysis, have a direct benefit outside of the Drop suits range (or extended radius) ? I mean outside of expanding the scan precision of a Drop Suits radius.
For example do those skills have any benefit out to 300, 400, 600+ meters etc.... For targeting as I am primarily a Sniper.
I would be Grateful for a good answer
I searched the Forums, but had no luck. |

If your Squad mates can spot something than so can you. TacNet is supposedly tied together although evidence suggests that it is less than consistent and sharing the information within an entire Team doesn't actually work even though one would think is the most preferable condition. Indeed, why wouldn't all the information be shared with the entire Blue Team?
As to you directly being able to scan at 300+ meters that is not happening it would appear. But if a Squad member activated a Scanning module in a vehicle the results should appear on your HUD. Once scanning works. |

Thanks Kal,
I have noticed that before on the few occasions I have been in a squad, but couldn't tell if that was my imagination or not. I am curious to see the improvements on that issue, coming up in the next patch. ( Most Likely :-) ) |

It wouldn't benefit YOU to equip those modules if you are sniping, but If you were playing with a Team that included someone who is equipped with that combo, then you'd have a much broader idea of who is where on the map, in the vicinity of that Player.
From there you can better tell when an enemy will be exiting cover over a long distance and not have to rely on seeing them directly as the Chevron will give you a nice indicator, which in turn should allow you to set up a better shot, change angles, or move to an entirely new location if you find the enemy isn't anywhere near your location.
Keep the faith. |

Thank You, Free Healing
Next would be nice to have a different shade of Chevron or something when someone is behind an object :-) |
