Is there anywhere they have confirmed if we are gonna have to spec into the new suits or will they refund the SP? I am thinking more like we will have to spec into the new stuff. |

They might refund the sp from skills they change.
Ex: Assault rifle operation get split into scrambler rifle operation and blaster operation. So we might get refunded the points from the original. |

They will probably respec everyone. Makes sense since they are introducing so many new gear. |

A full respec makes sense with all the stuff coming.
No confirmation (yet) though. |

A full SP respec? You think that is a possibility? that would be really nice. |

I honestly think they will take full advantage of the new contact so they can take a breather or work on next content in peace. It should take us a bit to fully spec into a new suit and new weapon for those that want to. |

I'm hoping that any respec option is limited to the relevant weapons.
If they introduce a Caldari Shotgun-equivalent, then all those points I spent in Shotguns across various characters will be marked and MUST be assigned to either Gallente or Caldari Shotguns. If we don't, those points remain fixed where they are. If we get new Medium Frame suits, any points in Logi or Assault can be reassigned across any/all of those suits. If we get a new Small Frame, any Scout SP can be reassigned back to Scouts or poured into the new Small Frame.
Obviously, I don't know this for sure, it's just how I hope they work it so people don't - for example - decide they don't like Heavies and retrain themselves into Scouts. The decisions we make are meant to have a lasting impact, and are meant to already be having that lasting impact, so I hope that CCP stick to that ideal.
I won't be particularly upset if we get a full respec though, and if that's how it happens, I'll be taking advantage on more than one character of my own. |

As long as I've ever been in EVE I've only seen them return unallocated SP to players. Usually the SP is simply applied to the new skills. I'm assuming this will be similar. Since it's all this brand new gear and not just new skills I wouldn't be suprised if all SP in various dropsuits was unallocated but I wouldn't expect anything more than that. Spent SP is spent, never count on getting it back. |
