Like you say, its already in Eve...so isn't it CCP's idea?
Still, there isn't any good reason for this idea to not be implemented. In fact, the market doesn't need the big screen in the MQ, the item info screen to its left is practically useless. Make that the new marketplace screen and make the center screen a rotating news bulletin...exactly like Eve.
It is baffling the number of great ideas that HAVEN'T carried over from Eve... |

News from New Eden at the screen thingy is something that I was thinking about the other day. And being able to see Eve's news and conflicts between Corporations or maybe which districts have been recently captured would be very nice. But then again, we need to be able to sit on the thing to watch the damn tv. u.u
