I thought most games did not do this because most people adjust their aim this way? |

Dust 514 is not like most games ^ I see what you mean, but I dont find it annoying myself though. |

Um, because you move? Try holding a gun then taking a step to the right. See how easily you can keep the aim on target. |

Have you tried holding a cannon and no-scope aiming it at a fast moving flying object?
Forge guns are unrealistically easy to aim :P
Anyways I could hold a rifle and move my arms/torso to strafe aim a bit without wobbling it much. |

Yeah, but bear in mind this is the future, hopefully there'll be an AI that can help you aim. :) |

That's because moving your torso and/or arms isn't strafing. Doing that in-game doesn't cause scope-sway as it is. Actually taking a step does, however.
In terms of being realistic - and let's use that term loosely here - that part of the scope mechanics works fairly well. |

And the armor you wear is meant to protect you from your own weapon and those shooting you. So future yes, easy mode... hardly. |

Didn't say that! Just said there might be an AI to help you aim...? Conversely, there'll be an AI to help you dodge bullets. I guess. I dunno. Oh well. |

Strafing involves full-body movement. If you're not stepping sideways, you're not strafing, you're leaning. There's a difference, and that difference wouldn't make sense to include in DUST. There are games where you can lean, but DUST isn't one of those games, and imo, it shouldn't be. |
