So I'm not sure if this is a subject anyone has touched on at all but I'd be interested to see if there's a possibility of dust players ever being able to board an EVE ship and take it by force from the inside. This is something I've thought of quite a bit and I'd like to get a little feedback from the community and/or CCP about it. I could see this being a PvP thing or even possibly a cool side mission we could do PvE. By the way does anyone have info regarding what kind of PvE we can expect? This is something I have heard mentioned a few times before, and however much I like the idea of space/spaceship battles it is basically impossible. I can tell you that in 5 years of playing EVE online I have never seen a fight where a ship lasts long enough to warrant a DUST battle. I do however like the suggestion of DUST battles on Stations, probably only viable in nullsec but such a thing could be implemented for public games with the "X Empire vs X Pirate Corp" (perhaps instead of pub games a DUST 'incursion' equivalent) or in faction war as part of flipping systems.
DUST players on board ships would only be possible if the ship was not currently piloted, or if it was piloted by an NPC. Beyond this even if it was going to be worth having something like Titan boarding, I think it would be overstepping the line to have a player in EVE so directly affected by DUST to have the extremely expensive vessel they are flying stolen out from under them by PS3 FPS players. That has too much potential to get personal; stations keep it at corp/alliance level.

In a DUST keynote at the 2012 FanFest, a guy asked whether CCP had considered battles on spacestations and EVE ships. The answer was that it was very much POSSIBLE, with their systems and technology, but that it'd come down to if the community wanted it or not. |

Perhaps just a PvE mission then, with possibly bot soldiers instead of hovering drones? I completely understand making sure things don't get out of hand but I feel like battles like that are something that would be perfect for the kind of experiences they are going for. |
