That's been stickied since it was posted... nearly a couple weeks ago. It's also been discussed a whole lot since.
But, thanks for the breaking news, brah. |

He didn't miss the point. CCP clearly had to make a sticky thread about it because so many people kept demanding SP resets for commercial release. Sadly enough a lot of people seem to be ignoring that. God, this is just like how everyone was talking about the weekly SP cap many months ago, a week-long vote was made, and now... a few months later today... people are still asking why we have an SP cap at all. People don't seem to bother to search the forums or read the sticky threads anymore. |

Well, technically, neither does this thread, which makes the OP correct, though through circular logic. Take a look at the title of the thread, he doesn't mention anything about refunds.
Of course, I think the OP meant to be talking about refunds rather than resets, but meh, here we are. |

resets prior to open beta had refunds tied into them, so it was implied |

I'm a little confused as to what were talking about here? They said no more SP resets barring some serious issue. I definitely see refunding all AUR as a significant enough reason to reset (not reallocate) SP. Unless I'm reading this wrong. |

Assuming 3 merc packs, that's 60 bucks that CCP would just be giving away, sounds pretty serious to me. |

They would not being "giving away" 3 Merc Packs, they would be fulfilling the purchase agreement of 3 Merc Packs awarded at launch. Quite a big difference. You can't "give away" something that the person you are "giving it to" has already paid for. If they DON'T give a refund on the Merc Packs at launch they will be withholding a product that has been purchased and paid for by the customer. |

You can't take away used weapons BPC's tht are already used or skill boosters and such. Unless you want to start over again with no sp. which no one is interested in. |

A few people have e-mailed CCP and inquired about the whole Aurum/Merc pack refund. They have said that the commercial release was the move to tranquility. That being said, they are looking into if they are going to give another refund to merc packs. I personally don't care, I already used Aurum for what I want and everyone QQing about CCP not giving any more Aurum refunds is a moot point. You have used the Aurum multiple times for as long as you purchased it. For those of you who missed out on the refunds previously, that's too bad. Just suck it up and carry on.
--But this isn't a commercial release, it's still in Beta-- A commercial release it when the product becomes available to the general public. This happened when they opened the beta. End of story. |
