In respect of the forum rules, I have scrubbed the CCP names to preserve privacy.
Most important line: "To clarify when DUST 514 joined EVE on TQ on January 10th and subsequently opened to the public on Jan 22nd this became our commercial launch"
I encourage others who additional evidence for or against also contribute to this thread while preserving CCP or SONY staff privacy in the same fashion. |

Sounds like he said it was a commercial launch, but that he was then told that it wasn't, and further inquiries had to be made. Going up the ladder, so to speak. |

If my SP gets reset, I get my AUR back. Period. Not to mention, as you posted in your message to them, CCP stated we would be getting refunded on all resets, to include commercial release.
I will sue the living pants off of them if this turns out to be true, not to mention they'll lose a player/customer. I'm the sort likely to spend $20 a month on this game, but I'm also the sort of person to tell a company to frak off and die if they screw over their customers regardless of how fun the game may or may not be.
If they take this route, here's a little tip: small claims court. You get much faster response than in criminal court, and a few thousand small claims cases are much more obnoxious than one class action law suit. I'd support a class action suit as well, but if a company wants to steal from me, I make it cost them as much as I can.
However, I have to believe CCP will change their stance on this or that this is a misunderstanding. This is not only bad business, but stupid. CCP, read this and reply, because if this is true it is not acceptable. |

Dealing with the issue has always followed this pattern -
- Commercial launch? Lolwut this is a beta!
- Actually scratch that, we are commercially launched
- Please hold, we will get back to you
- Indefinite silence
This is not the only time nor venue I have investigated this issue, but it is the easiest to share without naming anyone explicitly. |

I think there's some internal communication error between the GMs, the devs, and those higher up the ladder. If the devs think the game's being launched on the 14th of May, I'm inclined to believe them, as the rest is just bureaucracy. |

The beta label is completely independent of the of commercial launch. Again, this is not the only time I have gotten this answer, if fact I would argue I have gotten much closer to the source answers, but I don't want to name and shame and IRC logs would be too easily searched even if I scrubbed. |
