Noticing a lot more tankers running around on the field with awful tanks at their disposal, it's getting me down as there is no fight, I just roll over them. Just seems some tankers don't understand what to fit their tank with.
Note: I must advise you have your Powergrid and CPU skills maxed out as this is a tight fitting.
COST 386,160 ISK CPU:408/412 PG: 2426/2436
HIGHS: Heavy Militia Shield Extender (BPO) Militia Shield Extender Militia Resistance Amplifier (BPO) Militia Resistance Amplifier (BPO) Heavy Converse Shield Booster
LOWS: HT Linear Flux Stabilizer Militia Powergrid Expansion Unit (BPO)
TURRETS: Militia MT-1 Missile Launcher Militia MT-1 Missile Launcher 80GJ Scattered Blaster
Simple cheap fit, if you struggle to fit it as you do not have the skills, remove the Damage Modifier and add an additional Militia Powergrid Expansion unit.
Whilst on the topic of Tanking and cheap fits, I highly recommend trying out spider tanking. If you do not understand what spider tanking is I'll make a short explanation. Spider tanking is pretty much being a logibro tank, repping others to keep them alive, I've seen 3 tanks utilising it effectively, LAVs are quite useful doing this too.
See a Heavy Transporter has less PG and CPU than a heavy booster, and heals 3x as much (1500 for Booster, 4500 for a Transporter), it also has half the cool down time. I don't recommend the Heavy Transporter though, as it requires two tanks to work together extremely well so that they do not die, instead take a look as the Light Transporter
The Light Transporter can heal 1500 hp in 15 seconds, making it as much as a booster, but has a cool down of 15 seconds, meaning it is much better suited than a heavy booster, costs a fraction of the PG/CPU aswell. By switching one of the resistance amplifiers in the fit I've given above to a Light shield transporter, you can easily rep other shield vehicles and you can maintain your own without needing other support due to your heavy booster.
I hope this was somewhat helpful, much love guys. |

Wouldn't it be better to just skill into those militia skills so that you have more Pg and CPU at your disposal? |

What a horrible fit for 380k...
Why not just pay 300k more and get quite the bit more resistance and shield? Considering how often one comes quite low on shields those are all times you won't die.
Also; small missile launchers? I see you're trying to discourage anyone from jumping into your tank. The second 'normal' shield extender is just lol. |

I don't think you quite understood the "cheap fit" title my friend, I run a 1mil Tank which is pretty damn beasty, but I have 10 of these as backup which are great for just normal pubstomping, I rarely lose them and if I do it has usually made me about a mil. 600k Profit isn't bad.
Like I said, very cheap fit but better than the majority of tanks I've seen on the battlefield.
Also, Small Missile Launchers due to it have the least Powergrid.

So, you instead encourage them to be penny wise, pound foolish?
Or perhaps you just want to have more easy-to-kill tanks on the field, if that's the case then I commend your post.

I'm sure a nerf-gun would have even lover PG requirements, doesn't mean it makes much sense.
Jason Pearson wrote:Edit: Also I don't see why anyone is dissin' normal extenders "Waah get a resist on there instead what's the point?" Point is stacking values, **** halves like everytime. three is like 17.5 Resists, 2.5 of 4000 is not a lot, the additional 500HP boosts its overall eHP nice enough when we already have 15% resists (estimate)
http://www.eve-wiki.net/index.php?title=Stacking_penalty
At the third module you still get 57% of the effect, which puts you at 26.4% resists for three modules at 10% each. That is 228 more EHP on 4000, and since it is resistance it also increases the EHP gained while shield boosting.
Basically you'd be better off switching to resistance and then swapping the local powergrid expansion with one that gives 5% bonuses to both PG and shields.
Don't be trying EFT warrioring on a long-time EVE player, lol.
Besides, considering damage mods are not properly stacking, it wouldn't surprise me if resistance modules had the same issue. |

What about 2 active hardeners instead of 2 res. amps? |

I find myself to spend long times in the heat of battle, so the active hardeners would run out at rather inconvenient times. If you're doing tank-to-tank battle then they're good I'd say, for mostly anti-infantry not so much. |

Nah, I legitimately run this fit and it serves me well, very capable fit in my eyes, I will check out the triple resists though. Missiles have the lowest PG man, its needed for my fit.
Edit: Sorry just checked my fitting again, without an extender I have 4129, the extender raises it by 390HP, with three resists its still less eHP, right? :D
@WyrmHero1945, Resatsu pretty much nailed it on that response, I personally dislike active hardeners due to spending more time focusing on killing, I did use them on my main tank but got Ward Resistance Amplifiers and they're amazing ^_^ |

Getting too focused on a single number is never good. |
