I sent this in a mail to customer support, and they told me to post it here.
I'm having an issue that I've yet to hear anyone else say they have. When I try to aim down sight (ADS), the view bounces between ADS view and regular hipfire view. It does this with any weapon I have tried (I've tried sniper rifles, assault rifles, SMGs, burst rifles, pistols, mass drivers and lasers). It does not happen in every match, but when it does happen it will do it any time I attempt to ADS during that match.
This problem is always accompanied by two other in match issues.
The first issue that always accompanies the ADS problem has to do with running. When I hit the run button, I automatically stop running a fraction of a second later. I can keep mashing the run button, but it keeps stopping me and making me walk. Jumping or crouching seems to have no effect on this.
The second problem that always accompanies the ADS issue is that when I try to walk it's very slow and jittery. Sometimes jumping fixes it for a few seconds, but it always comes back moments later.
So not only can I not walk properly or run, I can't even ADS with a sniper rifle to wait out the match to see if the next match lets me play a normal game.
And lastly, after every match I have like this, when I return to the merc quarters, my merc is very slow paced and jittery when walking around the merc quarters. Not that it's important to the gameplay, just thought it worth mrntionint since it accompanies these other issues.
I've had these issues for about two weeks now (since around the time of the hotfix to fix the blackscreen issue), and they happen repeatedly every day. It's not an every match thing, but about 70% of matches I play end up this way. I thought if I waited it out someone else would report the issue, but so far I've not seen anyone I know have the issue, nor have I seen anyone on the forums mention having a similar problem. It's become far too common now and is making Dust almost unplayable for me, so here I am reporting it. The 4 layer issue: ADS, Walking, Running, Merc quarters movement, all happening simultaneously every time. |

I've had all the above issues and found out my Sony wireless headset was causing all of it. Only way around it was to keep my controller plugged into the PS3. If I want to play with my controller via wireless, gotta use a wired mic. Hopefully fixed next build.
With the wireless headset aside (in case that isnt causing this for you), try to play wired for a match or two and see if that fixes it. |

Also, depending on how many builds you've had your client for, I'd recommend a delete, re-download and re-install. If you've only had it since Open Beta, you should be okay on the client side. |

I just got a Sony Wireless Headset at around the same time this started happening.... which is weird since you mentioned it. It's the 99 dollar one. But ever since I started using it, this has happened whether or not it was on, so I was assuming it was unrelated...
And THANK YOU! I no longer feel so alone in this! |

I had purchased a second controller thinking that was the issue (first one had a lot of use) but that didn't fix it. Remembered that the headset caused issues with other titles as well.
Quick fix: if you're not using it, unplug the dongle. If you are going to use it, invest in a long enough USB cable for your controller. If you keep it corded, the issue will disappear. |

That indicates to me that the delete/re-download/re-install may be a False Positive.
It does seem to work in specific situations though so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if only as a last resort when nothing else has worked.
BTW, do you know about this?

I have been tempted to do it but have not yet tried it. We could recommend that Before the delete/re-install sequence and try to get the actual problem/solution narrowed down. Just a thought. |

yes, the Sony Wireless headset has caused these issues for many of builds.. like all of them with no hope looking imminent.
here is an old thread on this exact threads issue with many pages and devs commenting: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=27747&p=4
here is my thread regarding PS3 safe mode as one user mentioned here already: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=257720#post257720 |

Not getting this with the Pulse (aka Official Headset v2), does anyone have a v1 Official Headset and NOT get this issue? It'd help narrow down if a combination of things are causing it. |

I have the exact same issues as the open post. I have had it in all the betas going back to mordus private trials. I found a fix that works. One night while playing I noticed that the issue was gone. The next night it was back. Pausing for a moment I realized that I was charging the night before. I play dust now with the controller plugged into the PS3 all the time. Problem solved.
