Just in since lore has been flying around,I might as well play the role of a news man.

Quote: NEW CALDARI GÇô Caldari State Executor Tibus Heth made an aggressive address this evening, in response to the loss of the Leviathan-class titan Shiigeru in Luminaire and the subsequent revelation of IshukoneGÇÖs negotiations with the Gallente Senate.
In the statement, broadcast from the front of Caldari Providence Directorate headquarters on New Caldari Prime, Executor Heth repeatedly mentioned the GÇ£atrocities committed against both the Caldari Navy and the Caldari People by Gallente armed forces.GÇ¥ He went on to promise that GÇ£the aggressive action of the Federation Navy will not go uncheckedGÇ¥ after the destruction of the Shiigeru on Friday evening. He vowed that GÇ£the Gallente have chosen to tear a burning scar through our heritage with their defacement of the Kaalakiota Peaks. In time, we will return this gesture with interest, and will ensure that the Federation is aware that we will not be so easily deterred from taking back what is rightfully ours.GÇ¥

After starting the address with a relatively controlled and calm disposition, Executor Heth became more animated by the minute, and repeatedly had to pause during his statement to compose himself and regain his breath. In the closing stages of his speech, he repeatedly berated the Ishukone Corporation for their cooperation with the Gallente Senate, and stated that GÇ£if Mens Reppola truly had any idea what was best for the people, and indeed for the Ishukone Corporation, he would not be openly consorting with enemies of the State.GÇ¥

Executor Heth then promised a full investigation into the actions of both Admiral Visera Yanala, pilot of the Shiigeru, and wing commander Sami Okuuda of the Caldari NavyGÇÖs 37th GÇÿOctopusGÇÖ Squadron. His departure soon after was met with hushed applause, save for several jeers from the assembled crowd.

Reaction to the speech was generally positive in the State, although a number of media outlets have begun to comment on Executor HethGÇÖs physical condition after his most recent set of public appearances. Questions are also being raised across the State regarding what will happen next, after the Caldari Navy sustained its heaviest losses in over a century during FridayGÇÖs contact with Gallente Forces.

He's losing power and he knows it...if he was a better man he's accept that there is no way for the Caldari to hold Caldari Prime without a full-scale invasion across several systems into the heart of the Federation. But he is not...and I'm still waiting for another "crazed" clone merc to take a shot at him...

Diplomacy is the Caldari need to use, and its good that the Ishukone Corporation is doing just that. Maybe the Caldari will learn from them and stop looking for fights they cannot win...

Too right he's throwing a hissy fit.

If a 7km long ship costing billions of dollars was suddenly blown up on orbit through sabotage and then consequently crashed into a natural heritage site causing that sector of the planet to be rendered uninhabitable I think I too would be very angry.

If it was 7km long, the damage would have been less...maybe the part that entered orbit was 7km long, but the ship was about 18km long...

Someone. Anyone. Throw out an assassination contract on this man. He doesn't deserve the precious mortal life we mercenaries crave. **** a cloak, I'll take him out with a SMG and detonators.

Seriously. Let Mans takeover the crummy position and try to lead the Caldari to a better place.

He's probably got a lot of assassination contracts out on him...most important people probably do (too bad a bunch of them are also "immortal"...)

Heck, I'd volunteer one of my lives to help take down Heth. After what he did to the mercs in Caldari space its the least I could do...

This may be accurate. It's no secret that the State was in serious financial trouble prior to the Empyrean War. Heth's reignition of the Gallente-Caldari War was probably good for business in the short term, but the anticipated economic gains from beating the kitten out of the "wine drinking menace" never materialized.

The State probably needs cash flow very badly.

If they are in debt troubles (especially to the Amarr) things are just going to get worse for them; after all (as far as I understand, anyway), their society is pretty heavily based on money (corporations ruling everything and all)...
