As I'm sure you know, for some people, one of the D-Pad menus will frequently appear when playing, without actually touching the directional arrows. This seems to happen more frequently when clicking L3 to sprint, and more often during firefights as well (my hypothesis is that the more frantic movement during a firefight is more likely to hit the conditions that result in this glitch).
I've recently played Uncharted 3 and Spec Ops: The Line, neither of which has had this problem, nor any game before Dust. Even Dust seems to have acquired this problem fairly recently, sometime since the last build. I had never experienced this in another game...until last week, when I downloaded the beta for Defiance. It seems that game has the same problem. I don't know how useful this discovery might be (or even whether it's news to anyone), but it does seem significant that it's not just Dust.
I know other people have experienced this, but I had a hard time finding other threads. So I offer my apologies for making a new thread. |

omgoshness, yea, thanx for making the post i was just about to! It's getting redicoulus really. I have invested alot of skill points to be able to run around, in and out of hot situations, and i've been killed 10-20 times today because of this horrible 'bug'?its popped up hundreds of times. Should i get a new controlller even tho im broke? what if that doesent work? i agree i've been getting this more in this build, tho it allways did pop up once in a while earlier. i've been screaming.. fix this bug before the neighbors fix me! |

There's also another post that suggests hitting R3 (melee) will somehow reset the controller and fix the problems. I'll try it sometime later. |

This is a bug in Dust 514 ONLY.
My (and other peoples) controllers work perfectly in other games.
Now I got that away from my system:
Yesterday was the worst with this bug. Every match I was in, I had this problem at least 2 times. |

What we have found previously and has been resolved in every case, except yours, by fixing Blue Tooth interference or fixing/replacing DS3 controllers one can significantly Reduce the problem.
In my personal experience it is not a completely solved problem. DUST was the Only game from my PS3 collection that exhibited the issues. My controller, however, did have a problem.
