So is this event being continued for any other reason than CCP not getting the result they wanted or what? |

I think you've lost, actually. The official tally has the Caldari as the victors.

They are a diciplined and stringent society. Those who cannot contribute are left by the wayside. I agree that currency is not the best measure of a person's worth, but at least it is better than the Gallente standard of whomever looks the best is the most valued.

Are all battles still on Caldari Prime?
The most recent numbers I could find had the State Protectorate at 8006 to the Federation's 7427. A 579 battle difference is pretty small but with no ability to choose sides and a limited amount of time it might not be possible to affect the outcome, especially if we're only counting merc battles. Since everyone's already gotten their suits there may not be enough battles going on for the Gallente to come back even with a lot of wins. |

Aqil, I can imagine that this set of battles are the decider, as the Blood Raiders came in for the Gallente side, and the Bragian Order came in for the Caldari side.
Edit: And there were merc contracts, from 1800 to 2200 GMT. |

But the NPC corps getting involved doesn't actually mean there are more people playing Dust. Surely the side that wins does so because they won more matches, anything else and CCP may as well just declare the winner and ignore the actual numbers. |

Once we slay off the rest of the Caldari dogs we can pound Minmatar into submission and have them serve in our rule against the remaining. I am taking Gallente in a new era! We will become a true EMPIRE! |

I misread, I wanted to be Caldari because I thought they were against Amarr and were a democracy. Then later on a Corpmate told me it was the complete opposite.
I'm trying to remember what gave me that idea.

(My opinion) It's probably more like the enemy of my enemy is my friend for the time being (For Minmatar and Gallente are allies and they have great numbers at the moment. not a fan of Amarr ideology of slavery and other things (Not including some things of Khanid II that broke off of the empire and created his own, I like his passion for living and technology enhancements of the body http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Khanid_II) (Gameplay; however, I love ships and weapons and other things from every faction.)
However, yes, Caldari are not a democracy but they are supposed to be a meritocracy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meritocracy. There can be corruption in lot of places. |

I chose to be caldari because I like shields, and the color blue.
my favorite color is green. But those gerks armor tank, and I hate armor tanking. So I chose to be caldari.
I'll probably just paint myself green once we get that option in a later build. |

Yeah, when I played EVE way back I liked the sound of shields and missiles. In dust, I do like shields too; however, missiles...(No comment:))
It would be interesting to do custom paint (Black and red :)) |
