Okay first off anyone who has ever run in a scout suit knows they are not bullet sponges whatsoever they actually tend to be very shot at because it doesn't take much to kill them but i had an idea when i was playing the other day trying to jump over some barriers... first off scouts need more speed they are incredibly slow right now being a servo assisted superhuman you obviously need to be able to run at least 15MPH just normal but there are plenty of threads on hate mail of that sort, anyways the idea i had is to add a whole other dimension of scout movement, you give them an extra slot only scouts have that give them a special technology for gloves that allow them to climb walls... yes imagine that jumping down on someone with nova knives from a wall but the gloves use stamina as though you were sprinting x2 so you couldn't climb infinitely and you would have to switch to them kind of like an equipment slot? see what i am saying? gives scouts an edge over other suits because all they are right now is a slightly faster assault suit with the hops and less health. |

Scouts may not be able to take much damage, but they already move plenty fast. They can basically evade most enemy movements, if they are clever and run profile dampeners.
That said, your idea isn't so good. Creative, but not so good.
First, this would not help scouts survive any. If anything, it would just make people clean them off of walls, and low buildings rather a lot. Climbing up the side of a building like this would leave you totally exposed, particularly to sniper fire. Try climbing a ladder.
Then, you would have to work on putting mechanics on when they could and couldn't climb things, like steep dirt slopes and such. I, personally, would much rather that devs spend that time working on giving us some destructible terrain. |

Still, props for the nifty idea.
Also, they could just give this to the scout in the equipment slot, and lock the mod so it's only useable on scout suits. That's not that hard to do. |

Actually, a prototype scout fitted with three complex kinetic catalyzers can sprint at 10.15m/s which is just slightly faster than the current fastest m human who ran 100m in 9.58 seconds. Keep in mind that there are not that many world class sprinters out there in the world and it takes years of conditioning and training to achieve that level. Considering we are using genetically modified clones outfitted with enhanced suits, we seem to be just about right.
You just have to stick to cover. |

You just have to stick to cover. The sad part is that, like you said, you need three complex kinetic catalysers. Three of them. Complex. |

The CCP plan is to make Scouts the ideal suit for upcoming cloaking equipment This makes the suit MUCH more effective for both sniping and shotgun rolls then it already is |

Yeah, don't stress about the scout suits, OP.
They will have their day, when they get their cloaking devices. |
