This thread isnt to complain or anything like that.
Last weekend I jumped into the Caldari Prime event with everything I had. It was a heck of a lot of fun, the scenery change was surprising, the titan was beautiful and the nebulae above were also very nice.
The lore was also bad ass and I kind of had the incentive to fight harder for the Caldari and pull out/ screw around when paired with Gallente.
But literally just checked the event rewards because I was so excited about the new suits thinking that CCP was going to do something cool like the Black Eagles suit. I just got up and am about to go off to work, and I check them out.
To my eyes the Gallente suit is nothing more than a bulk standard militia scout suit...hardly the drab khaki/ urbanised combat suit of the Gallente I expected.
The Caldari one has a slightly darker grey tone to the armour plates and glowing blue eyes, and while kind of cool, its still not really that different from the basic type 1 assault suit.
Since most people dont even use the suits in combat and either relagate them to the dusty depths of their armoury, or use them as avatar skins its slightly sad to see how basic they are.
Great Event CCP, thanks for the epic show case of terrain and back ground changes, but the rewards were kind of lack lustre for defending an entire planet. |

I am also disappointed because I had 1 dropsuit of the State protectorate and the Federal defence union when they said you would get 10 each. |

Thats odd because I got two sets of ten. Thought I was in the weekend event as well as the US time zone event. |

I got two sets of ten of each as well.
I guess they are kind of underwhelming. Mostly because each suit has so many open slots as well as CPU/PG left.
The carnifax grenade is probably the most interesting aspect to each suit.
the covenant sniper rifle? ainh. I'd stick with a charged. |

They're basic type-1 suits equipped with cool stuff, would have been better if they were BPO. I'm not gonna use any of them and hopefully sell the FDU ones with a very high price. |

Don't count on it, there will be more events for these suits, this was just the first chance to earn them. it's really only good for looking slightly different.
At least the black eagle suits appear to be somewhat rarer. |

Those suits are crap. No expandability, and you only have 10 of them. If CCP really wants to do something awesome, get some designers on some unknown factions skin for suits; give it the same stats and mod slots as another suit, but a radical skin and make it BPO. |

This is what I had. I don't understand it either. Meh, not bothered, both types are pretty crap and I wasn't playing for the suit rewards anyway.
What we all need to do now is kill anyone we see wearing these, so as to make them all rarer and thus increase their resale value. I've already personally killed 2 today myself. |

CCP can't give high-end gamewinners out for simply attending an event. If anything they'd have to be fairly low-stat equipment, just to keep things balanced. |

Ya, same here. I only got twenty copies apiece of the federal ones? If we didn't get what we are supposed get hopefully CCP will make it up? Probably like two months down the road though. |
