Been happening to me all night ... I waited a few hours before trying again and it continues. I checked with some others from my alliance and it's not a problem with my PS3.
The game hard freezes as soon as Merc loads up which makes me power off the PS3 manually. When it freezez in the loading screen its not a hard freeze...it still lets me quit to the PS3 XMB. |

That's similar to a bug several of us have had, except I only freeze in game. Quarters and loading are fine, but other than that, same. I can confirm, from reinstalling several times and trying MP on other games that it isn't the PS3. If you try the help desk, you'll eventually be told its your PS3 and/or connection. You're right, it isn't. |

It's now into the next day and I still cant log on. I'm going to reinstall, and run diagnostics menu on my ps3 and clean it up...then try again. I'll update the post if it works. |

so was this ever solved?? i get to the character where he is standing there but it never finished loading. i reinstalled and let ps3 cool down and now all i get is full out lock up. i have to hard restart everytime it happens. let me know what the problem was |

If you are freezing while loading a battle you are running into a different bug than the OP. For your problem try shutting down some of your chats. This character runs with up to seven chats (below the Squad chat) open. I am not using a UVT so these are just text chats. My alt runs fewer than that.
Meanwhile others have had to shut the number of chats down to four. Your mileage will vary.
If you are freezing after the battle is started you might try the above fix anyway. Some have had it help.
As for the OP i have not idea regarding it nor its resolution. Sorry. |

thanks for the reply. i can't even change anything and i only have 2 chats open so it shouldn't be that. i'm just hopeing that it isn't permanent. |

I have been hard freezing in corp battles for the past week. I haven't even been able to last 3 minutes in one. pubs are usually fine.
CCP what did you do? |
