So, with the rampant AFK farming going on, I thought we could share the techniques we have seen and how to counter them.

So, a few i have noted:

Spawning in and just going AFK in the MCC. Countered by overcooking a grenade in close proximity. Even more fun if you do it with about 10 bars left on the MCC as they are likely not paying enough attention to respawn and will be kicked.

Getting sneaky and spawning in and going to hide in the hills. Countered by hunting them down and then either suiciding on them or dropping LAV's repeatedly until the drunken pilot finally drops one on him.


Spawning in in a heavy suit with or without armor repair. I think a dedicated team could suicide one after the other to counter the repair, but I haven't actually tried it.

Spawning in and sitting in a turret. Does suicide grenade affect these? Otherwise the only way to counter would be to get the other team to kill the turret.

Finding a ladder and climbing half way up. I've yet to see a counter to this one.


So, any I missed or any counters to add?

I've killed AFK ladder farmers with the "jump out of LAV before it hits them" method, only I used a derpship.

Edit: I'm not against AFK farming. I just like team killing by blowing up 600k ships.

Nice. But if they are high enough on the ladder, an exploding LAV wouldn't affect them, would it?

how is find a way to afk without having to worry stupid? takes some time and thought to come with it. since there hasn't been a big reason to actually play out matches before you cap out its more likely to see afker till the fair number of them hit the cap.

to op you forgot the rare afk tankin(HAV) in the redzone.

I squad up with as many as possible so we can all sit in the MCC together, remember people, join the AFK farming channel to maximize AFK squad potential

Or maximize anti-AFK action

A) where did anyone say it was stupid?

B) I did forget to put that one in. It can be countered by dropping LAV's on the HAV, though. Can't it?

Who is stupid enough to try camping on ladders to AFK farm? Or are they just trolling?

plus the lav smash damage to HAVs has been adjusted. HAV on HAV still works without many issues. my HAV lived when i did it, i actually had a phone call so i drove off into the redzone and watched a LAV smash into my soma, only lost shields on it and lav died.

I can never get the overcooking grenade to work. advice?

did you know you can also fly a dropship up into the mcc, and kill blues farming up there.
