Hoping to get some advice on what I should do. I'm currently working on building up my Assault and I'm wondering if I should sprinkle some SP around. Weaponry, and AR Operation are maxed while AR Proficiency, Shield Control and Field Mechanics are levels 3 and 4.
Been looking at other skills such as System Hacking and Drop Uplink Deployment to better help the team. Question is where should the SP go for now? |

imo only get LW Upgrade if you need it. Most of the time there's no need to reduce the CPU your weapon uses, especially since the better dropsuits have more CPU.
Do you have any points in grenades or getting a slightly better sidearm? If you use nanohives and drop uplinks, do you want to put a few points into those?
Like Bojo said, systems hacking is good too. |

If you truly want to be a jack of all trades, I suggest trying out AV or vehicle based combat next. |

Aside from upgrading what you already have:
- Circuitry to 5, especially if you plan to use drop uplinks since those eat CPU
- Combat Engineering to 5
- Caldari Assault Dropsuit as you start having issues cramming things onto your dropsuit after getting Circuitry and Combat Engineering 5
- Weaponry to 5 if you don't already have this
- Sidearm and Light Weapon Sharpshooter to improve range to whatever you're comfortable with.
- Shield Control and Field Mechanics to 5
- Shield Upgrades to 4
- Armor Upgrades to 4 or 5 (I'm not a big armor user, I don't remember whether 4 or 5 gets you proto on this one)
- Long-range scanning 3-5 (scan range)
- Profile Dampening (3-5) and Dropsuit Command (5) (reduced signature)
- Profile Analysis 3-5 (detect lower signatures)
I would argue that being proficient in a sidearm to complement what you're using is helpful even with a flexible light weapon. You get the slot and your AR will in all likelihood run out of bullets at some point, so you may as well be decent at using your sidearm. Whether you choose to stick with a scrambler pistol (aim and shoot at mid-range) or submachine gun (spray and pray at short range) is largely up to personal preference for you since an AR is a decent weapon at either range.
Additionally, you could spend SP to flesh out objective-capturing and support roles for your team:
- Systems hacking
- Drop Uplink Deployment
- Nanocircuitry (hives and injectors) - especially if you're squadding up with heavies that have tons of armor HP since good injectors will get more of that back on revive.
