I mean, we're still dealing with problems like broken drop ships/tanks, modules etc. And map design has taken a turn for the worse other than the new sky box. Skirmish 1.0 + Crater lake ftw.

Because there's people willing to pay, duh!

What if feel people don't understand are two major things. One being that this is a free game. Many of the free games these days, especially MMO's start off as pay to play meaning one purchase of the game and then done or a purchase and subscibtion fee. The way these games do this is they have big backers, like EA or Activision Blizzard who have millions if not billions to loan till they get there money back upon release. THen they go free to play and give the first purchasers extra bits to tide them over. This brings me to my second point. CCP is a privately owned company. They do not have these huge backers with millions to waste but with that they also don;t have to answer to anyone. So they can make the game they want not what one investor thinks will make them the greatest ROI.

No one on this forum ever mentions that people pay $60 for a game like Skyrim that was released with known saved data issues, but because they felt not enough people would experience this glitch or care enough to talk about it they still released the game. The backers of the game needed there money and said you need to release this game on X date or there will be a penalty of some sort. ANd bethesdas share holders would not like this so they released it anyways. Black Ops is known to burn out the PS3's disc drive, it happened to me, and it was still released, and is still being sold. CCP is taking there time to do it right, with little money and little backing. Also EvE is there money pot not Dust. EvE has a purchase price and a sub. fee. Not dust. Everyone keeps complaining about "I spent money on this game" or " I expected this" Or "I believed in that" but that is on you not CCP. You should tecnically not be out any money because you were not required to purchase anything. If you decided to buy into the beta, once again thats on you not them. If you don't like the game you can easily walk away. I believe that a lot of things can be great but if they are not I do not give it my money or time.

I guess the better question is, do you see the glass half full or half empty.

Plus all of the complaints on this site seem very First World Problems in my eyes.

True, I mean, betas aren't even suppose to have new "free" expansions.

It's a BETA guys. There is nothing in the court of law that says Beta has a time limit. They can stay in BETA and be slow all the want, they aren't charging.

And when it comes out from beta with less than 1000 players, it will be a graveyard, new players won't dare to join up, and it will die a quick, forgotten death.

I don't want that at all.

Some of you defenders of the current scheme of things don't seem to mind.

It almost seems like you want to drive people away, and that puzzles me to no end.

You all understand that the microtransaction model requires a large player base to be profitable right?

Because if everyone played it for free like some of you recommend, the game never goes anywhere, just as quickly as if you guys succeed in driving away anyone who dares to be critical of CCP.

So wait, you've been playing dust for 1.5 year now? You are aware that games are being developed for years and years internally...? What is the point of this thread?
