I started a match relatively far way away from where I wanted to go so I thought to save a bit of time I'll call for a LAV. Eventually the LAV arrived, I turned round and some idiot got in it and drove off...
Please can you add some form of control to the owners of the vehicles. Even if it's just a short hack system that won't allow other players into the driving seat (10 sec hack for blues, 25 sec (or whatever) hack for reds. This isn't Grand Theft Auto...
Oh and to say thanks I eventually caught up with him while he was trying to capture a CRU. I got in the driver seat of my LAV, I noticed he got in the passenger seat, drove over a big bump as fast as possible and leaped out with him flying through the air like a bird towards a group of reds. |

I prefer the idea of just letting the owner have the keys to the car. |

Obviously since the owner didn't mind throwing his own vehicle into a pile of reds. Honestly, I would have preferred to drive the thief into the red zone and sprint out. |

free lav, i don't really care, lav cost 450k isk im mad as h@## at the guy. standing there waiting for the rdv to drop it knowing its mine... only lav with over 2k+ shields around, finally drops and i click to get in and some blueberry stole it....point of story fix the locking and rdv. if a random can jump in someone else vehicle as soon as it drops becuase the rdv stood there for 45second going hmm what do i do now then there is something wrong. i also had picked someone up on my squad repping them less then 5m away from my lav to have a random steal it when i try getting back in and watch him slaming into every wall, so yea bring back the repper on logistic lavs |

I don't like this idea.
Simple reason: I call in LAVs all the time in matches when I want to get blue berries to leave the point that I am defending. When I think the Blue Berries are better off distracting the red dots than distracting me, I call them an LAV and sure enough they hop in and go on a Kamikazee drive.
I think having a 10 second hack for a non-owner is a GREAT idea. This gives the owner plenty of time to run to their LAV to get in before a random can GTA it.
Another reason it is fun to call in an LAV and run away from it is when you are defending a CRU for example, if you have remote explosives, you can park an LAV by the cru, watch and wait for the Reds to come try and hack, maybe adding an option to lock the LAV after you exit it would make it so you can do this? .... IED + LAV = BOOM!!
I dunno, come up with something better, I think this is a great discussion topic. |

This isn't Grand Theft Auto... Nice referencing.
I dunno the Eve universe is pretty gloomy and goth with enough emo to put down an elephant. It is kind of surprising we don't have the option to slash the tires on a blue LAVs tires. |

It wasn't. By the time I found it again I decided it was a good waste of ISK |

The freebies look identical to the expensive ones. That's half the problem right there. Granted there would still be thefts, but I imagine there would be fewer if people could identify a freebie throwaway from a 300k-500k buffed. |

I had to get out of my tank to launch an orbital and some blueberry stole my tank. He thankfully gave it back after I jumped on it and started shooting it, but being able to lock your vehicle for a short time would be great. |

I think I'm at the point right now where if it happens one more time, I'm going to spam this forum until I lose my posting privileges that the game needs the capacity to keep people out of your vehicles.
