DUST Search - Preventing "Rage Quiting"

I think the best question I have in all this is why not go cross platform. I mean if you're allowing people to use a mouse and keyboard then why not just allow PC players access to the game. It seems ******** to allow PS 3 user access to mouse and keyboard and then basically tell PC players that they can't have the game as well.

That is just my opinion anyway.

I would in no way consider myself an expert but I have good fittings and a decent understanding of the gameplay and dropsuits\fittings but i still get into matchhes and get destroyed. Now i understand that people have better fittings and equipment than me but Anyone playing for the first time wont. after a couple of rounds of going 0-17 with 25 points and that person will delete this free game and never look back. Are you guys workig on anything that new or lower ranked players can jump into to get ISK and SP so that they are ready for battle against the elite? Also being alble to practice outside of matches with new guns and especially piloing dropships and vhicles would be REALLY nice. Thanks Oh, I really wan theVita app!!!!!!!!!

I stopped playing Dust, just don't feel the game belongs on PS3. I also think once game is finally released that it won't do nearly as well as some of folks here think it will. I think CCP will realize that they made a massive mistake trying to release it for the console. There no hook to the game and graphics are crap, it's way to complex. In short it sucks pure and simple. I know lot of these guys think mouse and Keyboard don't make a difference but when they start getting some more PC users stepping in and raping them over the coals they will sing a different tune. Im not great at FPS but the moment I step in to Dust with Mouse and Keyboard I start raping players. I came over a hill at one point and wipped out 10 players that should not ever happen with a player of my caliber, I'm just not that good. Just wait it will happen players will complain about how Mouse and Keyboard give players unfair advantage. It's reason that other FPS on console don't allow it.

You are missing the whole social aspect to the game... But that's not your fault! CCP has made it hard as hell for people to communicate and squad up in this game. Their system rivals wack college level psych social experiments that lead nowhere and are finalized with common sense summations. I don't know what else to say. It defies any other explanation outside Fox Mulder's expertise- which I do not posses in the least.

They can, just go buy a PS3... Do you think it's dumb luck that this game is on PS3? Sony is probably spending money on it and giving advice/help on the developement. CCP hasn't made a shooter before, Sony gave them the best deal and the oppurtunity to make it happen. Outside of that, I still think they need a practice arena and a "beginners bracket"

Sony isn't spending a thin dime on DUST. If it isn't in house everybody else can send money to Sony. That is how they are, that is how they have been and that is how they will be. Sony responded positively when CCP wanted to just sell AUR and Merc Packs on the PS Store. MS did their usual of wanting everything to go through their store with avatar items and using MS Points instead of currency. For their many faults Sony has a long view as is normal for many Japanese companies. 7 to 8+ years of EVE when they started talking, a couple years later and the ten year is nearly here. Now do the math on thousands of DUST players coughing up a little cash to keep the AUR and Boosters flowing. Easy math, something MS wasn't willing to do. Even easier on a PC but that is a different story. And think what being on UnReal means for supporting any platform CCP wants when or if Sony decides to let the exclusive timer run out.
