One thing that would make things a lot easier when it comes to forming a squad within your corporation would be to add a secondary text space next to a players name in the corp list, while rendering a players name tag a certain color to specify whether a player is already in a squad or not.
For example: ContraBanJoe (Scout) -- ContraBanJoe in red text specifying he is already in a squad Sev Killermura (Assault) -- Sev Killermura in green text specifying him being available for a squad Bullets With HIV (Heavy) --Bullets With HIV in yellow text specifying he is not in a squad, but is currently in a battle Inhaled Emotions (Logi) -- Inhaled Emotions in white text specifying he is unavailable (or whatever)
Maybe give each player in a corp, 10 characters of open space to put in after their name tag. Corps can then require their players to provide whatever info they want in those spaces. Maybe corps will come up with their own codes that make sense to them.
Another example could be this. ContraBanJoe (S Sni Nan) -> Scout sniper nanohive. InhaledEmotions (L Rep Inj) --> Logistics Repair tool nano injector etc etc.
It would just make things a lot easier for people to form well rounded squads quicker. Right now squads are formed by people typing Free Agent Assault Nanohive into corp chat and hoping that a squad leader just so happens to see that before the list rolls by, this
Or... whatever a corp wants their members to put in the empty character space is up to them. Maybe thier name: Dearh By HIV (Jake)
When you are in your corproations chat, you should also be able to click on a corp members name and an option should come up in a drop down menu where you can choose (invite to squad) You shouldn't have to search for their name in squad and send them an invite. (some people will choose their name off of corp list and add to contacts then invite them from contacts, but then you have to delete them from contacts later on, if they aren't someone you plan on squading up with on a regular basis. I just think it would make things a lot easier to form squads within a corp by implementing some, if not all, of these suggestions.
Thank you and please respond with questions/comments etc. |

The ability to invite people into your squad from the chat channels has been confirmed by CCP. Your other ideas are awesome too, through.
PS: Maybe your color-code idea can be implemented in the other chat channels. |

Good call, anything to make it easier to determine who is available for squad would help. And thanks for the update on the CCP confirmation on the chat channel invites. I think that will be fantastic. Color coding people would be sweet too. |

Or maybe instead of highlighting the players name, simply have a white, red, yellow or green dot by the players name? Simple, not distracting, sleek... |
