Hi all
Yes. I do suck. But I never used to until I stopped playing for a month... :(
So I've been trying new stuff out lately and pretty much used all my SP and ISK in doing it, rather stupidly, I suppose, but I had a few questions on some things I was going to try in the future when I can.
Armor/Shield repair: is it good for WP/SP? Roughly how much?
Drop Uplinks: do you get any points when people use them, like the Nanohive's team resupply?
Shield extenders or rechargers? I tend to die a lot more times than anything. I'm wondering on the best way to survive.
I had wanted to try more team support roles like logistics, but, like I partly mentioned, I've blown all my SP and ISK in scout and swarm launchers and personal shield/armor skills because I'm usually dying. |

You get points for repairing the armor of your teammate's as long as your teammate was dealt the damage by the enemy. You do not get points for repairing vehicles and installations (as of right now). The shield repair is a shield transporter, and you get no points for using it.

Yes.

Extenders.

Then stop dumping all of your SP in stuff that you don't want to do xD |

I had wanted to try more team support roles like logistics, but, like I partly mentioned, I've blown all my SP and ISK in scout and swarm launchers and personal shield/armor skills because I'm usually dying. Shield repair is done only from vehicle to vehicle so don't worry about that.
Using a repair tool nets you triage points along with guardian points if the other player gets a kill while you are repping them. That's a great source of WP and helps out the team, especially heavies.
You get 25 WP when someone spawns.
Extenders. Suit is slow so the buffer will be more helpful. If you're on the Type-A suit 2 extenders and a recharger might not be ideal, but isn't a bad fit to run if you can't get that third extender. There's not really an answer that's always going to be right because it depends on your play style and what you want to do with the suit but the general rule of thumb is that extenders are much more useful than rechargers.

Cool, okay. Thanks for your answers :)

Well I've been trying out different things to find something preferable. Assault is a little boring now :)

Use Militia Gear. Seriously, Militia Gear is an awesome way to figure out what you want to do. Aside from the Lazer, Mass Driver, and Heayv Machine Gun, there is Militia Gear for everything else (fairly certain, that is).
Put points into Logistics Suit to get it to level 1. The level 1 gives you access to a suit that has 3 Equipment slots, which is necessary for Logistics. After that it goes like this:
Militia Nanohive Militia Drop Uplink Militia Nanite Injector Militia Repair Tool
Pick 3. Take any light weapon, with Lazer or AR being the most preferable, grab two Militia Shield Extenders, Militia Armor Plate, and a Militia Armor Repairer. You may have to level Circuitry or Combat Engineering in order to fit it all but it is definitely worth it. The cool thing is that Circuitry and Combat Engineering is something that you will need to max anyway(it helps every role) so there is absolutely no skill points "wasted" if you decide that you do not want to try Logistics. The points you put into Logistics will be given back once the game adds specific suits for every race, so no harm no foul if you decide you absolutely hate logistics.
Remember, there is no such thing as a wasted skill point. It just means that if you discover that you want to do something TOTALLY different, you will need to spend a little bit more time attaining it.
Be well. |
