I know this has to be posted somewhere but I cannot find it. I propose we be able to see the resistances our dropsuits' shields and armor have towards specific damage types just as they are represented in EvE. Also this would be wonderful for vehicles too. This would also clear up some confusion on what weapon types deal the best damage against shields or armor. |

They exist for Vehicles.
You should check out the Market -> Vehicle Modules -> Shields (and Armor for that matter). See if those various solutions are what you are talking about. I think that is what you are asking about.
Sorry, I am not an EVE player so it isn't very clear to me. |

They don't currently exist. It would be great to be able to increase specific resistances and would also give the guys that consistently get killed by X type of weapon a chance to bring something in to counter it. Of course how much armor do you wanting to be hauling around the map considering the base militia armor plates provide a 3% reduction in movement speed? |

Having never played EVE but having put a lot of time into Dark Souls I agree.
We definitely need this in game. And clearly present. Not only will it help with balance (i.e. players can work on different builds to attack and counter different resistances) but it gives the game longevity.
The system should be complex and deep, but accessible.
Right now there are resistances, lower level swarms and low tier AV nades do minuscule damage versus vehicle shields, lasers do massive damage against suit shields, but not as much against armor.
But the way it all works is not very clear. For example, lasers used to strip shields off of LAVs fairly quickly. Now it doesn't seem like they do. Did something change? Or have I just been coincidentally shooting at LAVs with shield resistance modules recently? If there were some numbers to look at in the item descriptions that would be a very good thing.
