I finally skilled up Dropsuit Command to level 5... What are these dropsuit customizations mentioned in the description? I can't seem to find anything different in the fitting screen or market.

They aren't there yet, this is only beta. Expect 30 new dropsuits, 6 new vhecials, and 8 new weapons coming within a month or so, Right now the skill does nothing, like many skills in the beta.
also don't worry you'll get to respec a single time at launch. |

I thought the official stance on repec was "not unless something goes horribly wrong." or something like that anyway have they changed their minds? |

no respec is coming on many skills, but we won't be reset to a newly created characters level of sp. There are countless dev quotes on the forum that state the respec is very much on the table. For instance, in eve online a game out for 10 years, they are going to refund 10 million sp in ship skills to be respent as the players feel fit.
Release will barely compare in content to the current state of this beta. I will be pissed off if I'm stuck playing a scout that isn't of the race I want. Or being robbed of being able to skill into minmatar tanks. |

That quote says no SP reset (i.e. no resetting of SP back to 600k or whatever it is), but doesn't say anything about a respec. |

Forgive me if this seems stupid but what is the difference between respecing and resetting skills surely if you respec you reset your skills and rechoose them so what is the difference? |

Reset = all SP lost and you make a brand new Toon (660k SP)
Respec = all SP go back into the pool for that Toon and you can spend them however you want. |

The difference is skill reset back to square one, respec same amount of skill points but zero invested. |

Ah right I see I read the whole devpost wrong some how it didn't register that reseting would be back to square one not just removing skills and leaving sp not quite sure how I missed that. Thanks for clearing up my stupidity and double thanks for not pointing out said stupidity. |

Dropsuit command skill DOES do something, it lowers your scan profile by 5% per level, so level 5 dropsuit command gives you -25% scan profile which makes it harder for you to be spotted with that big red arrow over your head. |

Yeah but if you read what the game says the skill does, it doesn't do it yet. Yes it does something but it's suppose to unlock more suits as well. |
