The Rotary Gauss Gun is a Heavy weapon pioneered by Ishukone. It is a very powerful automatic weapon that must charge up before firing. After charging up, it continually fires a hailstorm of highly damaging flechettes at the enemy. These flechettes have amazing accuracy and range, at least compared to Assault Rifles and other HMGs. The RGG occupies a long-range niche, allowing a Heavy to fire at an enemy at distance. Compared to the HMG, the RGG is only moderately useful at close-range. It lacks the spread and brute force of the HMG. Unlike the HMG, however, the RGG can accurately hit distant targets. The Rotary Gauss Gun is essentially a Caldari HMG. The Rotary Gauss Gun possesses a box-style magazine, a rounded capacitor array and two spinning gauss barrels.
Advantages over the Minmatar HMG
- The RGG has a far greater range and a tighter spread, allowing it to reliably hit distant targets.
- The RGG has much less falloff, meaning the projectile can travel further without losing damage potential.
- The RGG suffers no additional inaccuracy when it begins to fire.
- The RGG deals more damage against Shields than the HMG.
Disadvantages over the Minmatar HMG
- The HMG has a higher rate of fire.
- The HMG has a higher DPS at close to medium-range.
- The HMG does not need to charge before use.
- The HMG deals more damage against Armor than the RGG.
Roles of the RGG
- The RGG provides suppressive fire at long-range similar to the HMG at close-range.
- The RGG acts as an anti-sniper weapon, making it the first Heavy weapon truly capable of that job.
- The RGG, with proper use, can substitute for a HMG in certain situations.

Yes, I like this idea! Heavies need more long-range weaponry, if only to scare the kitten out of some douchebag who thought they were safe a certain distance from them. |

I'd rather a caldari heavy weapon be a bit more precise, what I had in mine was a single shot rifle that had a relatively slow but seeking missile go after exactly where the rifle hit. |

Some exceptions, sure, but on a handheld infantry weapon? That seems a bit extreme. The Caldari generally prefer raw efficiency over how unique a weapon is. |

hmmm, maybe this would fit better the first shot is a simple tag and sets off a hit marker to the enemy(possibly some kind of small alarm noise made by the tag) that the missile itself tracks on. The missile can be fired up to 5 seconds later and tracks the tag. you wait 5 seconds and the tag dies and has to be re-fired. missile has very small radius, meant for taking out high armour infantry targets(explosives deal extra to armor, reduced to shields)
a type of marksman's support weapon( good players will recognize the tag and hide, cutting them from the main force the rest of the team has to fight) though, I think the tag's lifetime may need a cut.
edit: oh, and the tag does no damage on it's own. And I like the rotary gauss gun idea. |

Both the scorpion and raven Bs can plausibly fit railguns and hybrids, while the pre patch ferox had 2 free slots for missiles after taking up it's hybrid bonus |

Think of it like targeting systems supporting rocket propelled projectiles, or more particularly a tracer round helping the guidance of said rocket propelled projectile |

This sounds highly op, perhaps if it had some sort of setup/teardown time to allow people to flank it |

Holy threads, batman.
Could you like.. Maybe consolidate the weapon suggestions into one thread? :O
Seeing like six threads get bumped (Bumping is against the rules FYI) at once just makes people go o.o

However we are at an impasse, as we are not supposed to make a list of requests either.... |
