I am currently playing an logi....but I seldom use all the equipment slots so I ask is the assault smaller hit box and more HP worth it? I know the CPU/PG is a bit of an issue with assault. My current mods will not work in the tier 1 suit for assault but do in the logi will this always be an issue. Until level 3-4 with logi I can just run 2 equipment items and better mods but have less HP...I tend to play support (reps) and do ok in kills 1.15KDR (play ambush most of the time)
So what do you guys think is better assault with reps or logi with reps & revive? Which will give me more survive ability? I die several times with the opponent running away with just a few hit points left. (I know aim better)
Thanks in advance for your help |

Logis and assault are classified as medium frame suits so I guess hitbox is the same for both. IMO I think you should stack shields, equip armor plates and armor repairer. Try getting more shields and armor from the passive skills.
Most of the serious guys have armor repairer so a simple revive is enough (at least when I need one), so assault with a nanite is a good option. |

If they have the same hit box wouldn't the Logi be best then since I will have the CPU/PG to support he larger mods or more mods while still carrying a good weapon. So basically is it better to have a higher CPU/PG base to add mods or a larger armor/shield base and not carry much?
Logi (type 1 suits) **best guess with lvl 4 field mech (173 armor)
125-shield 150-armor 195-CPU 39-PG
Assault (type 1 suit) **best guess with lvl 4 field mech (armor 201) 125-shield 170-armor 150-CPU 30-PG
So currently I have lvl 4 circuitry, lvl 2 of whatever increases PG....My base model would be Shield extender (lvl 3), GEK, militia nades, lvl 1 armor repair, amor plates lvl 3 triage repair gun (around 168 CPU, 38PG I think).....but not enough CPU/PG in the assault suit for that build based on my math....however the logi suit can run it with a nano injector.....
So, again will I run into CPU/PG issues always with an assault class? The upgraded shields, armor, equipment all make a big difference but the logi suits never change their shield/armor base...the assualt does, but if I can equip better mods and more of them won't the logi always be very close to an assault in armor/shield stats...or will the assault really pull away when the mods are in but be limited to just 1 equipment slot? If I can take alot more bullets while healing it would be better and just not be able to revive the fallen soldier that just fade out anyway most of the time. On the flip side if I can survive but cannot use the better repair tool then the odds of my teammates dying are better....arggg stupid make me think game
thanks for helping a confused noob. sorry if my math is terrible I really am confused by the buffs and stacking stuff in this game but LOVE IT |

If you want to play your logi more like an assault you really should be looking at the speedier Type-II version. I'd pick it over a Type-I Assault unless I really *needed* a sidearm. Aside from more PG/CPU the Type-II Logi also has more stamina/stam.recovery, noticably better strafing speed and a lower shield recharge delay. And that extra equipment slot. Oh, better scan precision too.
Then again you might also want to compare that suit to the Type-II Assault.
Also note that while Assault Type-I and Type-II have different values for shields/armor advanced/proto versions don't (that is, you get Type-I/A-Series/vk.0 and Type-II/B-Series/vk.1). |

Let's say you want Logi for the equipment and no need for sidearm. You already chose a weapon that it's good overall so no sidearm needed-check. I say go Logi if you really want the full medic job, that is repairing and reviving. If you are only concerned about repairing then go Assault Type-2. It will have more total HP than the logibro.
Assault gets a second equipment slot at proto level so you could use the nanite injector by then. I like logi suit for sniping for example, where CPU/PG and HP are important and way more useful than scout. CPU/PG is enough on the assault once you get the passive skills high enough (level 4), but you might need a CPU upgrade. |

THIS Though there are ways to circumvent the deficiencies the assault proto has versus the logi suit. Also side arm= very important. |

Yah. The only wrong part (unless CCP changed it) is the hit box. I believe the logi hit box is larger than the assault.
For some reason, CCP decided to make the logi suit better for most assault types than the assault suit. The proto logi suit is faster than the fastest proto assault. Proto assault gives you three high slots and four lows, or four high slots and three lows. Logi gives four high and four low. The logi suit also has more PG and more CPU than the best assault suit.
The only thing the assault suit has over the logi suit is a slightly smaller hit box and a sidearm. Other than that, it's worse in every way.
You're lucky you went with the logi suit instead of the assault, because the logi suit is perfect for assault! |

Oh, and assault shield recharge delay is 4.8 sec, logi is 5. So that does matter a bit. Of course, the logi suit has an extra low slot that the assault vk1 does not have, so GG lol.
edit: I know someone was talking about equipment slots, but the nice thing is that you don't have to use all of them. If you're using the logi suit as an assault suit, you can choose what you'd like to carry and let a healing logi take care of the rest. Scrambler pistols and SMGs are beast @ close range, but so are Krins. If you're going proto logi suit with a Krins, there's really almost no need for a sidearm (if you can aim lol). |
