1) i guess many people will but i don't know if i would tbh 2) the market will tell... there will be people putting them up for 50 mil or stuff and it will gradually go down to prices where people can actually afford them 3) see 2. it really be dependent on how the market is developing 4) i will trade them for isk. have so much unused stuff laying around, stuff that i most certainly will not be using for quite a while so yes... i will get rid of it... the sooner the better because prices will be insane at first. 5) i will sell stuff that i don't need like marauder tanks i got from salvage and try to finance boosters and uvt that way. 6) i will try to start a marketing alt in dust buying things cheap and selling them expensive.
oh and btw... opening the market will be much much more beneficial for ccp then not... because i suspect people will be willing to invest much money to get isk (for reasonable standard gear or vehicles) via the selling of boosters and uvts like it is in eve now with plexes. in the end ccp doesn't care what you do with your aurum. if you use it yourself or if you sell items bought with it on an open market ccp will still have gotten money out of it. |

I stress the point I've made previously, it's taken CCP a year to bring us trees...
Trees!
Sure I'm being cynical, but I doubt we'll have a fully-functioning player seeded open market, especially one linked to EVE, before Q4 2013. I do expect player trading relatively sooner though, possibly even next build. (Not holing my breath, though.) |

EvE doesn't even have fully player seeded market, a few items like skill books and implants are npc seeded only, and re-traded by players.
Npc seeded and player reselling is all we need, trees are probably harder to do then this. (eve has market but no space trees) The rest of the player driven market will come once science and industry are added years from now.
Many people will trade aurum items for isk. It depends on how much money you make in real life vs how much free time. People with lots of free time will spend their large sums of isk on aur items sold by people with good jobs and little free time to grind. |

1-) Are you guys willing to sell AUR items for isk? I'll just be selling all those extra toxin's and dragonfly's
2-) How much you will charge for active and passive boosters (7day)? There is nothing that I need in dust that would cost millions or billions, so i'll never sell them. However, they are similiar to the plex, so I'll guess ppl will sell them at plex prices or higher.
3-) Anyone have an idea how will the conversation chart of AUR-ISK going to be? It will be determined by the players, it will probably be sky high...
4-) Will you trade officer items for AUR? I'll trade/sell them for isk or aur. I have no use for a item that will cost that much. It would drive me crazy everytime i died.
5-) Will you sell all of your items in terms of ISK to get some boosters? Eventually, but i'd rather have the complete set of bpo's and atleast 1000 of my proto fits before I just give everything over to a booster. I plan on buying more merc packs anyways. |

4. Not going to be possibke to sell things for AUR ... the player market is in Eve and will be in DUST isk only transactions.
It might not be split the same as Eve, but Eve doesnt have modules n shios for AUR, it's all cosmetic and PLEXs. In ADUST we have modules for AUR and isk so they will likely stay in the same Marketplace, but AUR items will be either NPC sold for AUR or player sold for isk. |

A 7-Day Active Booster costs 7,000 AUR
In EVE, AUR costs 1 PLEX per 3,500 AUR. That's about $30.00 per Booster.
Well, using the current EVE ISK to USD exchange...
1 PLEX = 500,000,000 ISK (actually about 520M, but I'm lazy) 1 PLEX = $10.21 to $19.95 (average $15.08)
500M / 15 = 33,333,333.3 ISK/USD
BUT.... We know that it's different in Dust.
A $19.95 Mercenary Pack contains 40,000 AUR, which is a rate of roughly 2,000 AUR/USD (not counting the other stuff) A 200,000 AUR pack costs $99.99 which is roughly 2,000 AUR/USD I don't have my PS3 right here, but I think that 1,000 AUR is $1.99, which is roughly 500 AUR/USD, but that's an outlier.
So...
7,000 AUR = $3.50 USD = 116,666,667 ISK (EVE)
That's crazy, so let's look at comparable items in Dust.
A Standard AUR item that costs ~50 AUR is equivalent to an Advanced ISK item that costs ~25,000 ISK.
By that logic, the DUST conversion ratio should be about 500 ISK/AUR.
That would price a 7-Day Booster at about 3,500,000 ISK or roughly two hours of "average" game play (not accounting for losses).
Is anyone still wondering why CCP is so loath to mix EVE and Dust economies right away?

I'm planning to start Rent-a-Tank service for corp battles or regular matchs. I will not give my own fit, will fit either Surya or Madrugar as you want. 1) Maybe, if I somehow end up broke and someone really wants a dragonfly suit.
2) Boosters will only be traded for officer gear
3) No clue.
4) No, I will trade AUR for officer gear though
5) No, I could just buy the boosters myself.

Add me as a contact. We can work something out when the trades come into play. I have more officer AR's than I know what to do with.
Just a heads up, there is going to be a much higher demand for Officer AR's than Officer HMGs and Forge Guns. Expect to pay a premium for them. |

Prices will br based on location, quality and quantity. There have been a few rare bound items in eve mostly a recruit booster of aorts but I do not see anything else being bound. Once he market stabilizes i expect Officer gear i estimate to be 25 mil a pop and 50mil for weapons and officer suits. Aur gear to be 10x over the cost of the isk versions.
As for when market may come.... Uhm they'd would put me down if I told |

You're right, my prediction (I might be wrong) would be about 150/200k per piece, what concerns me is the very high demand on the market once it will be accessible, for sure. Lets make this is a sort of booking |

1- Why not? 2- 1.5 the AUR conversion rate if AUR cannot be bought with ISK 3- Look at EVE, you can already do this I believe 4- Nah, ill either use them or sell them for ISK...AUR is for items you cant use yet due to skills (like "fake" protos) and boosters. 5- No, Ill buy a merc pack. Game is worth at least $60 at this time in comparison...and more is coming SOON(tm).
Rent a tank is an interesting idea, the fact that you don't want to share a build is silly considering there really isnt that much you can do right now. As a tanker just fighting you once will give me your build...lol. Rent a tank without being in the tank wont work as your obviously going to be taking up 1/8 a player slot to drop the tank.
That being said they might still make ANYONE getting in a tank required to have the skills necessary to operate it...
Overall a player driven market is probably a ways away...honestly I think they should just do some Guild Wars type stuff and make an NPC market that adheres to supply and demand in a player-driven way. AKA, 1,000,000 SAGARIS' sold by players to the market, and only 1,000 orders in demand, and the price drops 40%. As opposed to everyone wanting a Surya but not enough being available so it jumps in price 20%.
^ should not be overly hard to do and is mainly just some advanced type of spreadsheeting....and honestly would probably make the game x10 better. WHOLE POINT of Dust is isk isk isk and atm im broke with 9 tanks and over 100,000,000 worth of assets i'll never use rotting away....... |

Oh, there is going to be a feeding frenzy those first few days, as everyone tries to get rid of their unwanted Officer stuff and acquire the stuff they really want. At the same time, there should be a fair amount of stock moving, because so many people will be trying to trade.
Those first couple of days, you are going to want to be the man with the ISK/AUR/Officer gear, just to sweep up the deals.
