For legal reasons, they will not be called mechs, unless CCP wants a lawsuit. We, on the other hand, can call them whatever we want and you better bet my friends and I are already calling them mechs.

how will they be bought on to the field it will be funny watching a RDV bringing a Mech suite onto the field i suspect they won't be as big as a HAV or a Dropship

I have this mental image of my logi jumping into an MTAC wielding a giant repair tool screaming at buleberrys that they can no longer out run my healing lightning, they will be repaired weather they like it or not.

MTAC is a good name and i found this ...

MTACs (Mechanized Torso-Actuated Chassis) are metal exoskeletons used for heavy duty mining work. They are armed with mining lasers and can be remote controlled or worn by miners.

MTACs make for effective emergency weapons in combat, as they are heavy, virtually immune to anti-personnel laser weapons, and have large, dangerous claws. Some have surface cling abilities that allow them to maneuver in zero gravity.

This game is already epic. So these suits would be RDVed in and hackable like an LAV or tank? Considering this kind of device sounds more suitable to be used in an asteroid belt than on the ground, what justification could be used to be deploying them in a battle? Also I will assume that they, being heavier than a Heavy suit would be about as slow as well.

Is this a lead up to Dust mercs fighting in asteroid fields vs NPCs and or Eve pilots or is this just a way to bring in another type of tank onto the field to blow up? I'm not against them being on the field of battle just surprised that I hadn't seen the post about them being added to the available vehicles either now or in the future.

Because whichever of the dozen or so franchises that use it regularly is actually the owner, they have a lot of people to sue.

How cool would it be to have different variants like they did in the mechwarrior series on pc? The mad cat was one bad ass piece of equipment, they would definately be a countermeasure to tanks. As a tank character I whonder if a lot of the skills I already have will be used or will they have a completely different set.

If they introduce mechs in this game and they handle anything like all of the other vehicles,then CCP can just keep them.

Sure they could be cool to have,but there's no way in hell I want to see anymore content in this game until they hammer out some of the stuff that's still broken.

I really doubt CCP is going to introduce large-scale mechs. Instead I see the MTACs as basically wearable exoskeletons, your average +6 ft merc would probably be bumped up to something like 8-9 ft tall. I can definitely see alot of possibilities for melee weapons though
