Sometimes it takes a while to destroy good tanks and it is never really worth the hassle when you see barely any isk for destroying the tank, although it is very satisfying. I know sometimes you need to take the tank out to win the game but we should see more ISK coming our way.
(By the way for those who cannot read, this is not a tanks OP thread ) |

I once went 4/4 trying to kill a very notable player on the leaderboards in his tank, I finally did and even tho I was 4/4 I received 260k ISK. Compared to today I had a round where I went 12-1 killing mostly new players in starter fits and recieved only 96k.
Seems to work for me.... Maybe you're just destroying militia tanks ? |

I would like to see more WP and SP from taking out tanks.
I mean while it is nice to know that you cost that person X amount of ISK by taking out their tank, the rewards for the one who devoted their time, effort, and suits to destroy the tank are quite lacking. |

That's true, I lost a good 200K losing those 4 suit's and I know the tank was well over 1mill isk. |

I'm not sure if the isk is split between all members, but i seem to get only 50k-100k more for killing a tank that probably had expensive fits. Then on top of that there is no partial dmg wp's if the best you can do is play hide and seek with it to keep them out of the main battle, which i'm bound to die atleast a couple times trying to do it. More ppl are starting to get really good at tanking, so i've had to switch from my adv fits to proto fits to get that extra punch or add a bit more fear. However, i must say that i'm never in a squad, so maybe my isk payout is low because it splits it between all the other unsquaded ppl.
If there is ever a time when having a tank in every instant match is common, then i'm going to go broke. Right now i'm doing okay because i save all my isk for my adv/proto av fits and i don't fight a tank every match. If there is ever a time when they are common, then many will get off with me just bringing std junk to annoy them (or make them laugh) because thats all i can afford.
However, the tankers probably have it worse, i've never been over to the otherside, but with the huge costs, i can see them digging themselves a hole much quicker than me. |

I definitely get more isk when I've taken out a tank or two but never more than 400k. I believe some of the rewards do get split amongst your squad and team but if you get the kill, you definitely get more.
And besides, when the enemy start spamming LAVs at you, you should be getting 10+ kills and lots of WP as AV anyway. |

If MY team calls in a bunch of tanks, and I do almost nothing, I still get extra ISK for it.
Pretty sure that - at the moment, at least - you get ISK rewards based on the value of EVERYONE's stuff that got called into the match (not just enemies), then divded up based (like SP) on your WP earnings and time spent in the match.
What SHOULD happen is that the game should track the total value of gear destroyed by your team, and compare that to the total value of gear destroyed by each individual, and use those values (plus a fixed "baseline" value that should be different based on whether your team won or lost). |

4 suits at 200k? Was a wonder you killed any tanks at all, must have been noob tanks (or tank drivers) with no ground support
Bottom line is these tanks rarely die, and they accumulate massive KDR and ISK unless they go up against decently speced AV players and have no decent ground support to back them up.
I have enough AV skill to take out pretty much any tank in the game single handedly, but ground support keeps me at bay. I might die 10 times in a match and barely scratch the tank, which has me at a massive loss. But if that tank isn't secured, they are gone in no time. |

As a guy who killed 3 tanks in one fight (they where all militia though) you do get paid out significantly more killing a tank. Just the default pay for time on the field drowns it out.
If they entirely removed those you'd notice the difference. |

I took out 2 suryas and I only got 245,000 ISK along with 7 kills, when I go and just kill infantry I get around 300,000 or more isk average. It just doesn't seem like a good trade off to me. Not to mention I die more when tank hunting lol |

Just imagine if the ISK payout was based on the amount of ISK we took out in a game. Would not be so great if against mostly militia players (more risk if using a good suit), but payout would be real nice going against players who bring in good gear/vehicles.
I would like to see some kind of hybrid system based on what we have now, and based on the gear/vehicles we destroy. |

The most isk is earned from taking objectives and team support.
One match I was in last night, I destroyed 0 vehicles and got my biggest payout so far, 411,000 isk |
